Blarney Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) I could have patted myself on the back for way cheaper than $20. Now the love part, that usually costs more according to what kind of love you're looking for. :) Edited July 3, 2014 by Blarney 486DX w/turbo button
leafer Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I pledged a dollar and helped the cause... :music_whistling: ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
ishtmail Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I backed at $20 and was able to select four flyables, one of which is the Dora. I wonder what ED is going to for those of us who backed less than $40 since that is the only dollar amount mentioned. The Dora YOU chose is the Dora for DCS:WW2. NOT the Dora for DCS:World. The only backers who should be given Dora serials for DCS:World (when Dora is released) are those who backed at higher pledge levels and have specifically selected Dora for DCS:World (in addition to all the flyables for DCS:WW2). People seem to keep forgetting that DCS:World and DCS:WW2 are supposed to be separate games. DCS A10C Warthog, DCS Black Shark 2, DCS P51D Mustang, DCS UH-1H Huey, DCS Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight, Flaming Cliffs 3, Combined Arms System: Intel i7 4770k @4,2GHz; MSI Z87-G65; 16GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM; 128GB SSD SATA3 (system disk); 2TB HDD SATA3 (games disk); Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X; Windows 7 64bit Flight controls: Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog; Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder; TrackIR 5; Thrustmaster F16 MFDs; 2x 8'' LCD screens (VGA) for MFD display; 27'' LG LCD full HD main display
[DBS]TH0R Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I didn't select Dora for DCS World, instead I chose alpha access with my 50$ pledge. ...any backer contributing $40 or more... If I don't get the Dora on 5th next month the above statement needs editing. Blarney Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Could someone please post the link to the forum where it says DCS: World and DCS:WW2 are separate games? I understand the concept of not having availability to the Dora until DCS:WW2 is released if you've pledged less than $40, but under the logic of two different games, that means that those who currently have the P-51D and use it in DCS:World will have to buy another copy to use in DCS:WW2. There is so much hearsay and speculation on this forum, I don't believe much that doesn't come from Wags or one of the developers. 486DX w/turbo button
ED Team NineLine Posted July 5, 2014 Author ED Team Posted July 5, 2014 The Dora YOU chose is the Dora for DCS:WW2. NOT the Dora for DCS:World. While that was the case when RRG had the reins of WW2, I dont think that is the case anymore... all serials will belong to ED, therefore there shouldnt be DCS WW2 serials and DCS World serials... Wags said at 40 and above, the Dora preorder was not needed for you... Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

gavagai Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Based on? I would do a search. I've been following this project from day one and that is my understanding. I haven't seen any word from ED to change this position. DCS World modules were a reward for those who pledged significantly more than the $40 for all the aircraft in DCS WWII. A fortiori DCS WWII modules do not automatically transfer to DCS World. However, from the very beginning we were told that owners of the DCS World P-51 would not need to re-purchase the aircraft for DCS WWII. cichlidfan Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 At this point, I think anything that you can attribute to Ilya, regarding how things will work, is no longer relevant. But now i think all the planes are DCS Modules, and the Normandy Map is a DCS module too. A map extension. No more DCS WWII plane modules. >> Changes: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126824 Edited July 12, 2014 by Demon_ Attache ta tuque avec d'la broche.
Havner Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I'm confused. I'm 40$ backer. Does it mean I get 2 planes of my choice (as per restructurised rewards, lets say Spit and 109) and Dora as well? 3 in total? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Havner Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 (edited) Two aircraft of choice: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126712 any backer contributing $40 or more will get the Dora as part of their rewards. Backers will get their keys prior the Dora release. So what exactly does it mean? That I can choose dora on $40 level but I wouldn't be able on $20? (as the one aircraft)? I'd understand it that I get Dore anyway. Despite 2 other aircrafts I can choose. EDIT: Sith, please clarify, cause if that is not the case then the wording of this annoucement is really poor. wormeaten Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The real question is when we will get it? I don't know why we still waiting with P51 If I chose this plane? Why I could not get key for it already?
Flagrum Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The real question is when we will get it? I don't know why we still waiting with P51 If I chose this plane? Why I could not get key for it already? Because they are working on establishing the necessary infrastructure for us to select the aircraft and then them to deliver the keys - afaik they rework the backer rewards page (https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/backer/) for that. It wouldn't help anyone if they would now hastily send out some keys to some people ... that would only be a perfect recipe for disaster after all the mess that already happened around the backer rewards lately.

Why I could not get key for it already? Any picks made previously are wiped clean, you will need to make new picks once the system to do so is in place, the only exception is those with higher pledge amounts that may have already gotten their P-51D key from RRG... this will count as one of your new picks. Ah crap, you just un-brainfart me Sith. I was sitting here happy thinking I could select the Me-262 instead of the Mustang because I had completely forgotten about getting the P-51 key already, LOL. Ah well, Me-262 was low on my priority list anyway, I don't have an issue with buying it whenever my ADD hits me while flying the other WWII planes.
