Nice picture Pete, must have been a good photographer :music_whistling:

Erich was very pleased with his visit and specifically mentioned how he enjoyed meeting you. I hope I'm not spilling any beans in saying that Erich also gave invaluable input to the development of the DCS Dora. More to come on this, I'm sure.

MAC

Cherish those moments for sure... wont be long and they wont be available anymore...

oh for sure,

It was prob the highlight of my weekend without doubt :)

I only wish I could have spent more time with him :)

What a beautiful warbird. I Really do love the earlier FW's. :pilotfly:

Doesn't look like a FW to me. Looks like a replica with a R-2800 in the nose and fw 190 A-6/A-7 frame.

Yeah, Flugwerk replicas are nice but that area over engine/nose are not too authentic looking. Still lovely birds! Their D9/n looks more like real deal IMO, sadly no flying example around yet. I've heard rumours that there might be couple ones in future with original Jumo's...

A Dora pilot is involved.

That is great to hear! Sorry about bit off-topic, but what about 109? Do they have any wartime pilots helping?

So what engine are they using now in the D-9?

Allison V-1710. But i guess it will never fly with that engine.
