Yes, and together that cant, and the asymmetric profile of the vertical fin accounted for the tendency for a right slip at lower power or high speed flight regimes that called for almost continuous left rudder...

Yep, some pilots complained that it required quite a bit of pressure IIRC which we of course won't suffer from in DCS ;)

OTOH during a dogfight the speed keeps changing so you need to change the rudder pressure anyway to keep the ball centered for gunnery. Trim would have been helpful for cruise and climb though.......

Yes, there was even a joke about German Bf109 pilot's being selected among men withn their left leg longer than the right one :-)

I know it has already been discussed in this topic, but does anybody know if ED has plans to make the flare gun removable?

Lets talk about it again when its released. At risk of NDAing myself in the face, I dont think its a concern, and you adapt to hits position pretty quick... of course.. that is with head tracking...

Ohhh man!

Online with this is going to be amazing.

I think I'm sticking with my D9 for some time, mostly because it's a challenge to master flying it. But to have 109's beside me will make me feel more secure in hostile skies!

Good to see a cockpit video. As for the flare gun; i don't think that will be that much of a problem with trackir to look around it to see the instruments behind it. Having said that, it would be good to have a option to remove it if one wanted to.

Looking forward to flying it.:pilotfly:

That start up sound though, those first few cylinders firing really sound awesome. Great job ED!
