WildBillKelsoe Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Probably asked before but can we get like an option to save the mission in its current state like SAVE GAME option. At least we can start from where we left it? At base after landing preferably... AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Paradox Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That would be a nice feature. No idea if the engine could support anything like that. EDGE wishlist maybe?
Tone71 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 You could quit, save the replay, then watch it back on fast forward and take over just before the end. Not that replays are very reliable. Apart from that, no. redterror Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 +1 on this - my gaming time is very limited and I often don't start a mission if I only have ~30 minutes. If I could resume later, then I could play the campaigns split between the time chunks that I have available.
Kenan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That would be nice. Even nicer: a FAST FORWARD & REWIND buttons for mission replay! :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . Croatian radio chat for DCS World

WildBillKelsoe Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) my thoughts would be the game engine captures all units current location, like ACMI for each unit at the save time, then on resume, reload that snapshot. It is a shot in the dark but was worth mentioning. EDIT: I could not do with replay. Its going to take time getting to saved point, maybe miss it in the confusion, also the tracks don't play correctly. jib Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 You used to be able to do this back in the days of Lock:On, it is a shame but ED must have taken it out for a good technical reason.
