F-86 Fly-In

The Virtual Blue Angels will be hosting a fly-in to celebrate the release of the iconic F-86, this Saturday night (7/26) at 2000 CDT (This works out to be 0100 GMT 7/27). Feel free to stop by our Teamspeak (simply enter virtualblueangels.com into your TS3 address bar, default port) and come fly with us! Other aircraft will be available to fly, but we'd really love to see as many Sabres in the air as possible!

Is the TS3 server available now? I failed to login today.

I am just now learning how to taxi this beauty. I should be competent enough by Saturday night (9 pm in Toronto). But, oh, she's a masterful angel in the skies! The smoke exhaust linked to throttle setting is too awesome!

Eagle Dynamics and BST, I LOVE YOU BOTH!

I forgot Belsimtek

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

So do we start at the same airfield or are we starting at multiple airfields and flying to a specific one? Prefer the latter...

Yeah! Oshkosh on the Black Sea!

Thanks

Despite the intermittent lag...I really enjoyed the flights...obviously the best part was taxiing, takeoffs, orbiting, forming up and landing...better parking line up on the second flight. And the Mass ejection was classic. Thanks VBA, I hope you do this again in the future. BTW who was that in the F15 that kept running into F86s? Two words dude...Situational Awareness...no it wasn't lag LOL!

I do have one regret though, I forgot to ask for permission to Buzz the Tower...

Great event guys.

I have some old but inspiring video of 64 Mig-15 and Mig-17 flying in diamond formation. It was performed by Polish Airforce pilots in 1959.

Maybe there will be next fly-in of Sabres and we can try to form up let's say...16 ship diamond formation?
