Pman Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 I know an entire FS community that would probably move to DCS if the Seahawk was released as a DCS level module. Many of them are retired (like me! :) )and have lots of time on their hands. If any of them have hands on experience with one then by all means get them to email me ;) Pman
Teapot Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 jaguar would be fantastic. Kind of reminds me of the Dufflepuds in Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Chronicles of Narnia ... if you've read the book you'll recognise the reference  "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!
Frogfoot Pilot 1977 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Hi, I would pay good money for a DCS Sepecat Jaguar. This is my all time favourite airframe. Plus we could do with a European theatre to fight in with it! Regards,
bumfire Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I'd give my left nut for a sepecat jaguar module.
Teapot Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I'd give my left nut for a sepecat jaguar module. Sorry, if you want the super-duper flight model and click-able cockpit it shall require nothing less than both. :imho: "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." Python Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) But... It takes balls to fly a Jag into Combat ^^ :D Edited September 19, 2014 by Python [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
112th_Rossi Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 With all these cold war aircraft and dedicated servers coming in DCS 2.0, someone has to set up a Fulda Gap scenario!
Teapot Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) But... It takes balls to fly as Jag into Combat ^^ :D Hehe ... well it looks like poor old Bumfire's going to miss out on the flying it then, as he's been so kind as to donate both marbles for the good of the flight sim community! Three cheers for Bumfire! Hip-hip :D With all these cold war aircraft and dedicated servers coming in DCS 2.0, someone has to set up a Fulda Gap scenario! Don't forget to add Combined Arms into the mix! Put it altogether and it'll be an incredible experience I totally agree! flyingscotsman Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Add my tuppence worth, Would love a Jag, A real nightmare cockpit, lots of old watches an dial's two underpowered enginess and lots of ordnance. I was listening to a Jag pilot (retired) who loved the plane....with those drawbacks, but a real pilot plane apparently. The other pilot on the flight deck was a Belfast captian....no chance of freighter....? I understand if you don't answer that.
VapoR Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 With all these cold war aircraft and dedicated servers coming in DCS 2.0, someone has to set up a Fulda Gap scenario! +1!! I keep reading in this thread how not many outside of the UK would be interested in this aircraft...here's one checking in from the US! My 2 top choices of aircraft are the Jaguar and the A-4. Well someone's got the A-4 so bring on that Jag!
joey45 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 2 planes [plus some others] that were hard to find in red flags were the Buccs and Jags.. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Vampyre Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I'd love to have a Jag in DCS as well. My current Desktop Wallpaper is a 6 Squadron T4A fly low through the Mach loop. I remember reading about a Jag det to Red Flag where one of them shot down an F-15 Eagle. It made me want to learn more about this little jet. A GR1A/GR3A and the T2/T4A are what I want most but the Jaguar A with all the French weapons wouldn't be bad either. With the upcoming Straits of Hormuz map it would be nice to have an Omani Jaguar OS but I highly doubt that particular model of Jag will ever be seen. A GR1 would be a good stand in for the OS. Personally, I would have preferred the Jaguar T2 over the Hawk T1. Don't get me wrong I'll be purchasing the Hawk for its limited light attack and air to air capabilities and it looks neat as well. Hopefully a developer will pick up the Jag as a full ASM/PFM module in the near future. Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills. If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! "If at first you don't succeed, Carrier Landings are not for you!"
joey45 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 A French Jag in the new map would be nice, then make the GR3a. But you'll need a T4 for the Conversion training..... Rincevent Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 A Jaguar would be nice indeed. I have access to a no-more functionnal but still intact and fully fleshed French Air Force Jaguar training cockpit, could not tell which block by memory though.
