Yesterday, for example, he gave me a double death.

 

If You switch from plane to another, You will get lost (death) in game stats.

You have to switch to spectator and them in to another plane to prevent it.

Could be that case?

Just logged onto the server for the first time in my Spit.

Didn't even see an enemy, but it sure felt different, i.e. not knowing if there was an FW waiting to jump me.

is there any reason why someone with nick "player" is not visible on player list on server page?

it is connected with his behavior, ramming plane on ground, where are AAA??? is btw. good question, or team killing?

his plane is without any nick on server list ... rest of players are OK...

Server is running like potato, high ping fluctuations and stutters were present for me when I flew 10 minutes ago.

Server restarted. I guess we've catched some bug or bad scripts when at some point DCS application just stop to respond. Could some who experience the issue on client side tell after which event the problem began? I Russian forum people say that many destroyed ground units affect in such a way, but i wonder if it's quantity of destroyed ground units or objective completion that matters.

Eekz, I cant exactly say when. I've entered server at around 8 PM CET yesterday and flew for an hour, maybe longer. After 10-20 minutes, once first combat occurred, I've already felt that game is not really smooth and saw people porting in front of me or moving in stuttery way (checked my ping but it was fine, between 80 to 100, as per usual).

 

It's possible that numbers of ground units are too significant to handle by the server. Normandy still requires a lot of optimizations after all.

I think that I'll redo ground target making it with less but more tough units..

How many trigger i can set, before the game / server crash? I have an idea and it works, but it would need about 1500 triggers to make it in the map work for all human pilots.

Does anyone else on here use the Burning Skies TeamSpeak server? I've yet to see anyone logged into it over the last few days. Was very much hoping to be able to "wing up" with someone.

As an occasional lone pilot who dips into BS from time to time, can anyone tell me how exactly Teamspeak thing works in the context of a server like BS? What's the etiquette? How do you hook up with other pilots? Who can hear your transmissions, etc.?

From using similar voice comms software previously, my assumptions are:

- Only use push to talk. Not nice for everyone on the channel to listen to a baby in the background (had that before)

- Be polite

After that, I assume just about anything goes.

I like to introduce myself on meeting someone new, just to say hi, but otherwise, just have fun.

Today, 2 hour flight on the server .. great day (5 planes destroyed and 11 trucks were destroyed) and zero problems with the server (except an unchecked kill :music_whistling: )

Thanks but that doesn't really help me. How do you contact particular individuals? Who can hear the conversations? How do you team up and share info without everyone hearing? Etc. etc.

I really don't know anything about TS. I need a basic idiot's guide!
