4xGBU10, dropped one after the next, NOT ripple pairs or pairs, single. Or the GPS version of the same bomb. Reason being the pairs will explode one of themselves, and it registers as one hit, not two.

I use GBU-31 x 4. You can get them off in one pass if you are high enough and quick about it.

Question of my own....which buildings or objects besides the ammo depot have secondary explosions?

Did I now understand correctly, dropping in pairs causes only one of the bombs to be actual damage causer and other just effect?

Or do you mean that the first one hitting ground/target and exploding causes the other blow in the air and it doesn't register as hitting the target?

I think, when dropping pairs, the some of the total energy is "wasted". I explain this to myself like this: both bombs explode at the same time at ground level and they produce a crater. That crater might be deeper than the one of a single bomb, but one of both bombs wastes its energy as already a single bomb would produce a crater - and leaves the other one exploding "in mid air".

Hrm, not sure if that was understandable, lol ... ok, an example:

One bomb makes a crater of 1 m depth. Two bombs make a crater not of 2 m, but of 1.20 m. Because: bomb A produces already the crater of 1m and bomb B explodes therefore 1m above the actual ground. If both bombs would detonate sequencially, bomb A would produce a 1 m hole and then bomb B would fall that one meter and explodes on the bottom of the crater - and produces itself a crater of 1 m - so they add up to a total crater depth of 2 m.

I think it's just the first bomb exploding the second before it's able to register as a hit. Don't blame the player, blame the game IOW.

Ok this today I tried in the (stand-alone ) A-10 and was able to destroy the ammo depot with to GBU 10s dropped in ripple pairs. But when I try in DCS world they do nothing.

Why not use good ol' mk84? All you spoiled kids with your fancy guided munition these days xD

Next you'll be telling me to take off without a TGP. :megalol:

Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.

MK 84's did not work for me. They were my first choice, because of success from old lockon and FC days.

Q: does it really take 4 2000lb bombs to destroy a bunker IRL or is this a DCS feature?

IRL special bunker buster bomb may be used if there is such need.

Its all depended by construction of the bunker.

Germans during WW2 build a bunker that could survive direct hit from the tallboy or maybe a grand slam (i don't remember whitch one was used against this bunker) bunker was damaged but things that was inside was not,

DCS A-10C is only for enthertaiment??? Not for me.

JDAM manual is classyfied??? Not for me.

Lies sounds like a truth??? Not for me.

Knowlege is for kids??? Nope, its for me.

Whichever bomb you use and DO destroy it, it keeps exploding and exploding... like a fireworks show!
