peter Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 What am I missing? Pulling the starter handle spins the prop ever so slowly and the engine doesn't fire. Called ground crew, magnetos and boost pumps on and all breakers pushed in. Pulled the fuel primer a few times as well.
leapingrodent Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Sounds like you're doing every thing right... check this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129347 and see the startup tutorial video by Wags see if you got everything down. 1
nick10 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I dream that in the future an animated guy will actually stand on the wing and crank the engine. Then he'll pat me on the back and yell good luck sir then run for cover!

Not a few times on that primer but 16 times to bring pressure between the mim and max marks is what you are missing.
Belphe Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 ^^ My thoughts exactly! Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
peter Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Thank you gentlemen. I found that I wasn't giving the ground crew enough time to crank the engine before pulling the start handle.
sobek Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Thank you gentlemen. I found that I wasn't giving the ground crew enough time to crank the engine before pulling the start handle. They don't crank your engine, they wind up your inertia starter. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
ED Team NineLine Posted December 11, 2014 ED Team Posted December 11, 2014 I dream that in the future an animated guy will actually stand on the wing and crank the engine. Then he'll pat me on the back and yell good luck sir then run for cover! I feature requested this before the module was released, but with Yo-Yo's contacts, there was no real communication between pilot and ground crew, everyone knew what to do and when to do it... an animated ground crew dude would be sweet for sure... Thrud Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Any one know why I can't bind the "signal starting crew" to a keyboard command? I can only bind it to a joystick button. the "Add" button is greyed out when I try.
