Bourrinopathe Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Great video as always! The focus on the real procedure relative to the switch position is a nice touch. That brings up a question -- I could have sworn I read somewhere on the forums here that the fly-by-wire system can be quickly disengaged by pressing the red button on the flightstick in the real Su-27. Wouldn't that be what the pilots would use during flight instead of that rather difficult to access switch on the left panel? According to the Su-27sk manual the red button switches the autopilot off.
rrohde Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 According to the Su-27sk manual the red button switches the autopilot off. Ah, okay then. Thanks for the info. :) PC: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X | MSI Suprim GeForce 3090 TI | ASUS Prime X570-P | 128GB DDR4 3600 RAM | 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD | Win10 Pro 64bit Gear: HP Reverb G2 | JetPad FSE | VKB Gunfighter Pro Mk.III w/ MCG Ultimate VKBcontrollers.com
Ironhand Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Thanks, folks. Glad you've enjoyed it. As already noted, that button is for something else. The Direct Control switch is where it can't accidentally be activated. Very bad things happen when you are given direct control of the aircraft and aren't ready for it. :) YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
