Vinny002 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hi, guys! Question for you, is it possible to save a flight so I can fly from where I left off in DCS world, if so how? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent

Cheers, Vincent YES! you can :) But the only way I know of (there might be a better way) Fly and then hit ESC and end mission. Then make sure you save your replay track. When you want to continue flying, watch the replay - fast forward with LCTRL+ Z (press multiple times to really speed up). Then press LSHIFT+Z to go back to normal speed. Press ESC and select TAKE CONTROL.

Vinny002 Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Hi, FlyingHighAU! Great! Thanks! I'll give it a try! @cichlidfan: how does speeding up time during replay can introduce replay errors? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
cichlidfan Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hi, FlyingHighAU! Great! Thanks! I'll give it a try! @cichlidfan: how does speeding up time during replay can introduce replay errors? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent It just happens. Track replay errors seem to be increased by anything that alters the normal flow (time compression, changing views, etc). Complex tracks, with lots of unit activity, sometimes never replay properly. It is pretty much hit or miss in some cases. QuiGon Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hi, FlyingHighAU! Great! Thanks! I'll give it a try! @cichlidfan: how does speeding up time during replay can introduce replay errors? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent The replays are NOT just videos of a mission. They are simulated and computed the same way like when you actually fly a mission. The only difference is that all the inputs for your plane are already known and just get executed. If you accelerate the time the computing process might be to slow to execute all the inputs which leads to different maneuvers and AI planes will also react different then. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
winz Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Just keep in mind that this method doesn't work in campaigns. It will not advance the campaign. The Valley A-10C Version Revanche for FC 3
Solty Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 That is the only way. However, speeding up time during replay can introduce replay errors. ...and replay errors can appear some times even without faster time. At some point your plane will be just looping around untill it hits the ground... not too amusing if you want to record some cool multiplayer fight of 3v1 -.- [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]In 21st century there is only war and ponies. Cibit Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 IIRC MP tracks are saved regardless. But as Chiclidfan says replaying .TRK's are a lottery. Also to fly it you need to take control before end of track or you will have to run it again:) i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
