That's pity it's Mirage 2000C, not Mirage 2000-5 Mk2.

I am already happy about this one, if they do later an other version I would buy it too

Remember also that getting technical info on french jets is very difficult

Dassault won't let them do the -5. It's still very used in our army as an A2A interceptor on our country and I don't think we'll see it anytime soon in DCS. But maybe I'm just wrong and I would love to :).

I don't even mention the Rafale.

From the other side Dassault Raffale was created for FSX.

I don't use FSX but I used to and there were some interesting settings which could be use in DCS - that's my opinion but I suspect differences between DCS and FSX are too big.

What's more ( I'm not going to recommend somebody ), Coretex designs is creating Super Hornet, settings look to similiar to real. Take into account that Super Hornet is also encrypted like F-15E or Rafale. No wonder, they're one of the most advanced planes. I hope Super Hornet wouldn't be stopped for a few years like F-15E of RAZBAM.

The Rafale is still highly classified regarding weapon systems and radar, and while it isn't a problem for a non combat add-on for FSX, you can't make a DCS-level module of it yet.

That's right. You can't compare Systems Modelling in FSX to DCS

My rig specs:

Intel Core i7 4770 @3.4Ghz // Corsair 16GB DDR3 // MoBo Asus Z87K // HDD 1TB 7200RPM // eVGA Nvidia GTX 760GT 2GB DDR5 // LG 3D 47" 1920x1080 // Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS // Saitek Combat Pro Pedals // Thrustmaster MFD Cougar pack // PS3 Eye + FTNOIR

The problem is not the environment. You can create a very detailed model down to how the systems work in both FSX and DCS. The problem is the available information. On new aircraft it is very small and frankly quite useless, which in turn forces the developer to "pull-out-of-air" how the system works based on similar aircraft from the same company or country.

In the specific case of French aircraft, unfortunately the French themselves are quite paranoid and consider everything classified, even if the aircraft is no longer in use. It is quite amusing to see a very sparse Mirage III French manual with about 60 pages and the Australian Air Force version for the same aircraft with 494 pages with highly detailed information including flight envelopes, weapons loadouts, etc.
