JesseJames38 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Was browsing the DCS roadmap (unofficial) form and running thought the different modules under the 2015 heading I seen UH-1H V2.0 (in progress) I am curious dose anyone have any idea what this is about? First assumption was for DCS world 2.0, But now I am wondering if they plan on adding more content/ improvements. Perhaps more of a reference tords multi people inside the same aircraft in multiplayer. Any have any information about this? Jesse

JayPee Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Interesting.. Would like to hear/see more of this. Up until now it is not common for developers to call their module XXXXXX 2.0 to merely indicate compatibility with DSCW 2.0. One may assume every module is compatible with DSCW 2.0 upon release by default. i7 4790K: 4.8GHz, 1.328V (manual) MSI GTX 970: 1,504MHz core, 1.250V, 8GHz memory
Cowboy10uk Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Intresting, never heard of a V2 being developed. Finders crossed Belsimtek will pop on here to confirm or deny soon, rather than keep us in suspense. Silver_Dragon Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I post a 2.0 version on the unofficial roadmap by a post own by PilotMi8 BST now working on a project of the MiG-15bis. But the DCS: Mi-8MTV2, we also improve, by the end of February 2015 to finalize think. UH-1H - improve too!. ZQuickSilverZ Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I wonder if it will be a free upgrade, an "add on" or a totally new product. I need, I need, I need... What about my wants? "I've seen steering wheels / arcade sticks / flight sticks for over a hundred dollars; why be surprised at a 150 dollar item that includes the complexities of this controller?! kontiuka Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I post a 2.0 version on the unofficial roadmap by a post own by PilotMi8It doesn't really say anything in PilotMi8's about Huey V2.0.
VincentLaw Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 It doesn't really say anything in PilotMi8's about Huey V2.0. That is correct. the 2.0 Version on Silver_Dragon's unofficial list is not actually based on the post that Silver_Dragon quoted, but based on a now deleted post from PilotMi8 as clarified by cichlidfan here: I just checked PilotMi8's posts for the last year (including the Russian section). I could not find any mention of a version "2.0" for the UH-1 or Mi-8 in any of his posts or your quote. If there was such a post then it was deleted. I saw the post. It did exist. Deletion was probably a wise choice. Since the original post was deleted, I don't think it should be kept on the unofficial roadmap because "UH-1H - improve too!" is too vague. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Silver_Dragon Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) Not necessary, LN talk about a Mig-21Bis V2.0 and nothing about a paid upgrade. edit: Remember, UH-1H and Mi-8 manual show functionality no implemented or manual parts no completed (Multi-crew, complete the towed cargo system, airborne operations with realistic infantry, inboard systems and personal / more weapons options with mine-laying systems and catered mines). That can be implemented in the future (surely that parts has the V2.0 put my Mi-8 on the russian furums) Edited March 19, 2015 by Silver_Dragon For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF
Flagrum Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Not necesary, LN talk about a Mig-21Bis V2.0 and nothing about a paid updrade. That is new to me now as well. Do you have a link for that? Every 3rd party dev is talking about things they consider to fix or implement when DCS 2.0 is available, but that is something totally different than a version 2 of a module.
Silver_Dragon Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 That is new to me now as well. Do you have a link for that? LN Newsletter http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=136883 The MiG-21 is our first product and thus it has without a doubt been a considerable learning experience. Despite our best efforts, a significant amount of flaws were pushed with the release build of the aircraft. We've put in a concentrated effort in order to eradicate these as quickly as possible, and we hope that progress has been palpable for the end-user. Nonetheless, there are a number of both large and small improvements and fixes still pending. Listed below are some of the major additions planned: New & improved sounds, both in interior and exterior views. Based on real MiG-21 samples. Improved Engine RPM Feedback and immersion. Improved radar screen visual representation. Re-Introduction of red cockpit floodlights Performance improvements wherever possible. Major improvements in exterior 3d model accuracy (pylon tilt, wing thickness, gear door shape, front windshield fuselage joint and more) New AAA quality pilot model in the cockpit (toggleable) (in conjunction with previous) Animated and correct post-ejection pilot model & animations Improved artwork & textures for various ordinance (SPS-141, ASO-2, Atomic bombs and more) Default cockpit livery variations. (Green, Finnish, etc.) 10+ New default liveries. (Bulgarian, Polish, Czech, GDR, Cuba, and much more) Re-introduction of tactical numbering We apologize for any inconvenience caused by issues found in the MiG-21, we hope they have not been too detrimental in your enjoyment of the aircraft. Also, a big thank you to all of you who have been diligently submitting helpful bug reports, they are simply priceless. As we move closer to the release of our next module, we plan to significantly expand the size of our internal testing team. We hope to reduce the amount of release-build bugs in any future product launches. In the next few weeks we also hope to resolve some of the silly activation errors occuring and causing issues for some users. This includes options to properly deactivate the module. OnlyforDCS Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Silver Dragon, when you write Huey UH-1 version 2.0, people will automatically assume that it's the same thing as Black Shark 2.0. None of the improvements that Leatherneck listed warrants a 2.0 designation, and since PilotMi8 has deleted the statement maybe you should consider deleting it as well, just to play it safe and stop the spread of rumours and misinformation.
