WildBillKelsoe Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Do I have to wear earplugs? I just finished an hour and half mission and my ears have echoes from the whoof whoof sounds.... This is awesome!!!! Creative Fatal1ty here.. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
SilentGun Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Yeah the Huey is a loud one and can get even worse with sound mods. My suggestion is simply turn the volume down :) Link to my Imgur screenshots and motto http://imgur.com/a/Gt7dF One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales... :)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

Flagrum Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Agreed. Using earplugs under my headphones seemed like the incorrect approach to the problem. :P Nonono, it's the only realistic approach to the problem! You know, in the real thing you can't just "turn down" the volume either!

Slazi Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 For teamspeak, you should have sound coming through separate headphones if possible. External speakers for game. Headphones for comms.
=Mac= Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 For teamspeak, you should have sound coming through separate headphones if possible. External speakers for game. Headphones for comms. I'm going to figure out just how to do that! That would be so cool! (Weekends only, of course!) The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
Slazi Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I have a set so headphones that has its own usb soundcard built in. That allows me to have two channels. Worth it if you cnn. Very immersive.
Rongor Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Helmet sounds should also get onto the comms output. Not possible, I know...
TheSkipjack95 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Yeah the Huey is a loud one and can get even worse with sound mods. My suggestion is simply turn the volume down :) Diveplane's AP mods are a must, especially for the Huey.

Slazi Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Open headphones will still let you hear external sounds.
