I just think cdn77 is a host/load-balancing provider, as per their website.

Nothing weird here, except that I guess some of the "clones" (for load balancing) seem to have missed the last update.

Hmm, if it's a load balancer that would also explain speed issues. If you switch to another instance that is faulty every few packets, they will fail and then request the package again, with just a few reaching you over the remaining instances that would be overloaded as their peers fail to relieve them...

Unfortunately that also means you can just wait, until the problem is fixed. :(

So from what I could research the paris-2.cdn77.com is located in Paris and is part of the cdn77 backbone provider network.

The connection is running from your local providers, uplink seems to be Frankfurt (ffm-bXY.telia.net), then the connection is routed over the core router to France and into the cdn77.com backbone in Paris where the connection is stuck.

I'm not a ISP backbone specialist, but from my point of view the best idea is to let your providers know about the issue, as they in return pay the backbone providers for their service that currently seems to have a problem...

May be they can put some pressure to resolve that.

This seems to be THE solution for me :

-Go to : C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS

- Launch DCS_Updater.exe in this folder

 

It's loading for me and I wait the end to confirm the good version :

18040,5 Mbytes to load !

At the time of this post:

- it looks like the update is now working for people who were previously "stuck" => this is the main thing, and it's now OK :)

- I dunno if it's important, but noteworthy is that when displayed in my browser updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com still mentions "Latest stable version is 1.2.16.37730.701" (same display as my screenshot yesterday) => this is bad info now.

cdn77.com is our current CDN provider. Their paris-2 mirror hadn't refreshed the cache for some reason and the updates were not visible for users who were routed to that server.
