wow! risky but it is practicable:)

weird thing is no damage on landing gears!!?:music_whistling:

Haha first thing I expected to feel is those rubber wheels burst under me as all the weight came down from the flare. I was just as surprised as anyone else that everything was intact.

Infact, the reason I look rear left in the first person view is because I was expecting to see a hit of either the engines or the tail on the runway :joystick:

:shocking:cool!

did you backup track?

I am asking because with the upcoming updates you may have see the landing gear will get damage or not.

once I recorded a landing track and tested it with the puplished updates, I saw the landing gears broken and had an elevator damaged after update.

Yep track is backed up. Also, this was performed and recorded on the latest updates

So much about SU 27 PFM.

In itself there's nothing here that implies an error with the FM (with the strength of the gear maybe, but not the FM)

All it proves is that people are prepared to do things in a SIM where failure means a wait to re-spawn that they wouldn't do in real life where failure means a horrible fiery death.

Try doing it yourself 10 times - if you crash more than once, you'll know why you'll never see anyone try it in real life

Doesn't mean it couldn't be fluked in real life though ( & that Su-33 attempted landing linked in the 'best landings' thread comes pretty close by accident).

You would never ever try this in real life. If you did and made it... you'd be out of the air force in no time... and if you didn't make it, you'd be dead. Also to me looks like engines scrapped the runway so you need to try again a clean landing :D

Maybe I wouldn't try it in real life, unless it was my last day flying ever...either way that's what Sims are for. Also, I am pretty sure engines did not scrape. Too bad I can't upload track because for some reason I am limited to upload size on here otherwise I'd allow you to analyze and pick up your jaw from the floor. =D
