is there any update to this???

DCS Support left me dead in the water. I too am having these issues. My logs state the same error:

00009.020 ERROR DXGUI_EDGE_RENDER: Cannot load texture ''

Can't do single player, or multi. This application is literally taking 20gb of memory for no reason at the moment.

I am using GT755m in SLI latest graphics drivers etc. Even when disabling second gpu the problem persists. Problem came about on it's own. During gameplay crash and hasn't been able to resurrect since. I've already done 4 fresh installs, an unbelievable number of repairs, and absolute deletion of all files and folders DCS related....ALL.

Nothing is working, and after being left dead in the water I want to know what is being done to get a fix out for us who have this issue. GPU temps have nothing to do with this since on a cold start problem remains!

And yes, I always run DCS World and Multi as administrator.

This was an issue back in March. It required the deletion of the saved games folder for most to fix it. Some did a complete reinstall.

As mentioned above, I have done complete reinstall múltiple times and complete deletions of all DCS related files and folders...this includes the saved games folder, the config folder, and the temp files. I've also installed the steam version to see if there was any change and same problem still persists.

So no, Issue hasn't been resolved completely.

Sith,

No overclocking here. Yes all drivers are up to date. Have tried clean installs and repairs of both dcs and direct x. Also reinstall of direct x.

All I've done is stated in my first post on this thread

Ok, I didnt see where you installed DirectX, anyways you said it crashed and the problem started happening, have you tried installing it on a different drive maybe? Probably wont help, but worth a shot if you have another drive to try. You can do a second install if you want to try it without touching your original install. All other games you play are fine?

I will try to dig up an old drive. Will a flash USB drive work?

And yes all other games work perfectly. Don't have any issues. Have been substituting flight time with GTAV and Elite: Dangerous

What kind of crash did you get at the time? Blue screen, or did the game just crash?

That thread is left unsolved from what I can see. And this issue might have nothing to do with temps. It happens on a cold computer start up as well as after a bit of browsing the web looking for a fix.

I'll check event viewer tonight when I get home from work though

SkateZilla, Sith and Sabre-TLA you know your stuff.

Here is the event viewer, same dll file as the thread you posted. What I will try to do since teaking my Nvidia settings didn't work is I will roll back the drivers and then attempt to reinstall updated graphics drivers. This is the one thing I hadn't thought of doing.

Thank you guys for not giving up on helping me! I am grateful:thumbup:

Exception code: 0xc0000005 = Memory Controller / Access Violation, which is being caused by nvd3dumx.dll, which is being loaded by DCS.exe,

-Roll Back to an Earlier Driver for nVidia.

nv-d3d-umx

nv= nVidia

d3d = Direct 3d

um/umx = 32/64bit

Nearly all of the recent threads have nVidia Cards running 9.18.13.5012

So I think that's the Culprit, Also I know alot of people outside DCS Having Problems with DX9 Games on 9.18.13.5012.

Seeing as some people are posting dxDiag and they're showing their nVidia 770 Cards as having 12GB of Memory... I think it's a Memory Controller Issue with the Drivers.

Yep rolling back the drivers helped get me back up and running!

It might be their feature which makes older games 'crisper' with these newer gpu driver updates.

Thank you guys for helping me through this persistently. I can't wait to get back to flying! Uploading control profiles to all modules right now ilotfly:

Should we have a sticky or new thread warning users with 700 series cards and these new driver issues to make it easier of a fix?
