Thanks guys. I figured out the demo mode. I have an old Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer sound card in a box somewhere. Now all I need is a Buttkicker.

Buttkicker has been out of stock for many months. But it turns out that they are just 5 miles down the road from me, and they hope to get new stock maybe in January..

Still waiting for my amp. But I have some questions.

1) With Left and Right channels separated do you feel different effects with each channel? If so, what effects are left or right? If a missle fires off the right rail do you get a bump on the right channel? etc..

2) Also, if you want to use your Transducers on other games, how do you set that up? I assume the other games would need to use your normal sound card. But your Transducers are wired to your second sound card. So do you split the output of the normal sound card to a switch or something so you can turn that feed on and off?

Second Question-Yes there is a y adapter you can pluggin for use with games that you can't use shimshaker with. I would switch back and forth when I was active flyer in IL2-clod from second to main sound card. SO dcs got the second card with buttkicker amp and when i flew CLod i would switch the amp input cord to the main sound card I used for IL2. But you'll feel everything. So if you run TS3 thru same card you feel people talking too. Unless you use a USB headset then that would Isolate the TS3 Problem.

Thanks Brewnix!

I got my amp yesterday and have it setup today.

I have the audio coming from the Front Left and Right since I have 2 transducers. Is that the correct output to use? Or should I be using another?

Also, I am awaiting my key for the module. In demo mode, it seems the runway effect keeps on even after takeoff. In the log screen it kept saying something about play the effect and skip it. This even though I was in flight. And with that effect running all the time I could not tell if the stall effect was working when I stalled.

And still wondering how the Left/Right channel effects work?

So i asked the same question here and i think you might be right on left and right channel here the answer from Andre.

having the effect after takeoff might be a bug heard of this acouple of patches ago. it might clear up after the key maybe!

Why do I get this message if I move the desktop shortcut? Is there no way around this? I don't normally keep many shortcuts on my desktop...

"Oops! Could not find "SimShaker for Aviators" shortcut at your Desktop, pilot."

I have the key and am testing the effects on the A10c. I noticed that when I do 'Create Fast Mission' and Airstart, I am getting the Taxiway bumps continiously even though I am in the air. And I am seeing them continuously sent to the log as well.

Also, I see an engine rumble effect for the A10c, and I do see it in the log, but even when I set it's Gain to 100% I still feel nothing for the engine.

Cheers BTW! This is going to be well worth the money I can see. I am already planning on getting 2 more transducers for my foot pedals.

Awesome Job Andre!!

Please make an exception from the rule for SimShaker, we use that shortcut to copy into Windows Startup folder. We'll try to find another way in the future.

What if you start from the ground?

If I start from the Runway it works fine. I get the runway bumps and they stop when I rotate.

I just started it to look for the version and it gave me a 'Unhandled Exception has occured...' error. The title bar of that crash window says it is version 1.0.0.16. The main window for SSA also says 1.0.0.16. And the Sound Module says 1.0.0.35.

Here is the Unhandled exception details if you need them:

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I think this may have been because it was already running in the taskbar. I do see 2 SSA icons in my SysTray. Do you check for other instances?

I'm a retired developer. I used to use the Window's API to write to registry so apps would run at startup. Normally you would use one of these keys, depending on if you want it to run for just the current login user, or all users:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Cheers.

I assume you are referring to the Runway/Ground Bumps with the Airstart a bug. But what about that I don't feel the Engine Rumble effect at all? Does the A10c have the Engine Rumble effect?

Yes, that's right. I assumed Runway/Ground Bumps.

Regarding Engine Rumble effect for the A10c.

I may be wrong, since SSA was developed mostly by Olaf (f4l0), not me. But, as far as I know, that FX is not implemented in Sound Module yet. I suggest it's not implemented for A-10c at all.

Let's wait until Olaf will be back and make it clear.

Ok, thanks.

Does it matter which channel I use from my sound card? I'm currently using the Front R/L output. Does Rear R/L and Center/Subwoofer work as well?
