If I was a betting man I'd say "no".

I was under the impression that DCS-2 and the second modern map were in the pipeline before it... neither of which has surfaced yet. The poor Spit, which made an appearance in the 1.5 beta, is still lacking cockpit textures and a properly rotating prop. IIRC that was a cock-up and it's "not even ready as an AI adversary" yet.

Waiting (semi-) patiently here myself...

Asked that question on last VEAO update ,think it was , Chris and Pman said Edge 2.0 and P40 are their goal for the rest of the year.

Delayed.............

I think he is asking about the ED mk.IX Spitfire, not VEAOs mk.XIV. I don't think we will see either of them before Christmas however.

I don't think any soon after seeing IA 1.5 state (although we don't know the internal development state). But if we think about other modules 109 was released not way longer after we first saw some screens like the 1.5 Spit is. Let's be positive :).

Just want to put my actual consumer opinion here.

I am really excited to get into DCS WW2 enviroment but before i open my wallet for any WW2 fighter, i first would like to see a WW2 map done. Would be nice to have a WW2 Trainer too.

Cheers.

Speaking of which, I have looked around and do not see any information on it, anyone know the app timeline for the Normandy map?

I was one of the original Kickstarter contributers and have all the content coming to me. Just wondering what kind of timeframe they are looking at on the project.

10/4 thanks for the info Sith. Will continue to keep an eye on the progress, really looking forward to it as WWII combat is really my first love in flight sims.

I think we may have to take this to a higher authority.......

Dear Santa,

It has been a long year and we have all been very good flight simmers.

We have been kind to our families and pets.

We haven't spent the grocery money on a new joystick, although we have thought about it.

We have tried hard to land without damaging our aircraft too much.

We haven't posted about the 109's trim or the stability issues of the Spitfire.

Please could we have a Spitfire MK IX for Christmas.

Thank you,

Cheers, Scream.

P.S. I promise to leave a nice cold beer under the Christmas tree for you and some treats for the reindeer.

There you go. Sorted!

Good to see Scream is being good for Santa this year.

The good news is, if he gets his Spitfire, we should all get ours too. Whether there'll be room in Santa's sack for the Spitfire, along with the Gazelle, P40 and Mirage is cause for concern though. Fingers crossed!

Australian mods riding scooters only eat Kanga-burgers.

Kangaroo is delicious!

It tastes something like a cross between lamb and beef. Kanga-burgers would be awesome. :chef:

Maybe we could use them to bribe YoYo and get that Spitfire for Christmas.

Santa's magic elves could fly them to us from the North Pole with payloads of presents for all the children along the way.

Still lots to be done on the Spitfire, I doubt it will hit before Christmas, would be nice, but I wouldnt hold my breath for sure...

I would hope ED could roll out more than one WWII fighter a year .... its going to be 2018 before we see the Me-262 at this rate.

I guess it depends on what you want in a flight sim.... it takes roughly 5-6 years to build something like the A-10C or F/A-18C, I think a year for the Spitfire is pretty reasonable...

There are other games that churn out planes faster... I would prefer to wait for a professional grade FM myself...

I understand it takes alot of time but we got the FW190 in August and the K4 in December. It's almost been a year since we've seen a WWII aircraft role out while releases of endless amounts of trainers (3rd party mostly) continue. Hell I'm flying helicopters now and not particularly great either lol.

wasn't the P-47 meant to be released before the Spitfire?

Well. Doesn't matter which one we will see first. As long as they're coming! :-)

Can't wait to get my hands on another DCS Warbird.

It's been a year since the release of the Kurfürst. I need new stuff.

Looking forward to the Mirage of course. But to me the old stuff is more appealing.

Outgunned, outnumbered, though never outclassed!!!

Can only hope, ED has one thing alot of devs dont have, and thats time. and as we all know, they use every bit of time they get.
