Force_Feedback Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 So it's a 3d render (not a physical model)? Sorry, it's hard to see, but the lighting is somewhat too perfect. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Shaman Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Holy! When I looked at the first photo in that linked thread I though it is real! Then I realized this is actually a model. Amazing, just amazing. I keep watching it and watching it. I want more pictures of this set/diorama! jakethesnake630 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 His name is Richy and he visits a VERY popular online modelling website known as ARC (www.aircraftresourcecenter.com) His work is simply astonishing. In progress links (lots of them) http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=30097&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=30608&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=31683&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=35054&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=34505&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=36437&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=36687&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=37332&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=36257&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=44939&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=45359&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=45826&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=54874&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=59734&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=59937&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=68236&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=67922&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=69828&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=88629&hl= http://s102164210.onlinehome.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=89357&hl= Lots of links but ALL worth looking at.
Force_Feedback Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I don't understand, is this a 3d render or a real, physical, plastic model that you can hold in your hands? Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
britgliderpilot Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I don't understand, is this a 3d render or a real, physical, plastic model that you can hold in your hands? Plastic model ;) I think it's a bit over-weathered, but DAMN! the detail . . . . . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
walternowi Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I don't understand, is this a 3d render or a real, physical, plastic model that you can hold in your hands? It is a 1/32 scaled model that you can hold in your hands. Richy is an awesome talent! warthogmadman987 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I know a guy not to far from me who does some work just as good as this...but he never wants to go public, kind of a hermit type, but he has the best plastic models i have ever seen with my own eyes! My models dont compare! Those pics shown too are amazing. I really enjoy see this stuff. Just shows what some money and junk loads of time can do.
jakethesnake630 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Lol FF, you've got to get of the herbs and open your eyes :P Over weathered?? I've seen pics of dirtier birds than that...
Sleek Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 truly amazing work..and to think i used to dabble with TAMMIYA models..but never looked anything like that! Pleasure to look at..thx for sharing ;) Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)
Force_Feedback Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Lol FF, you've got to get of the herbs and open your eyes :P Over weathered?? I've seen pics of dirtier birds than that... Meh, even in a clear state of mind the model looks render-isch. I know it's a plastic model, but my eyes didn't convince me. Well, at least I don't see weird patterns in it. leafer Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 The ground crew in camouflage looks 100% real! WoW! ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
jakethesnake630 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 That's because the ground crew are photoshopped in :P He got me aswell  He added ground crew using photoshop to get a more crowded look. I prefer the normal model shots.
airea Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 This guy should be al talent like rodin:) Amazing models, still cant believe that these are scale model...
Dudikoff Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 He added ground crew using photoshop to get a more crowded look. I prefer the normal model shots. He added some more stuff (like that CocaCola and the tools) and probably used some filters to make it look more real.. Force_Feedback Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I've never been so much confused, and I'm pretty confused now (u know why). Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
jakethesnake630 Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 The images have not been tampered with! Apart from adding the crew, coke cans and wrenches. You can look at the inprogress shots to see. They're normal pictures of a DAMN good PHYSICAL 1/32 scale ACADEMY F18 with some DAMN good photography and lighting :D
Force_Feedback Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 It still looks like a 3d render to me, so that's what it is according to me. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
jakethesnake630 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 But I've posted all them links with work inprogress shots!! just look at them!! :p Annoys me to see people not appreciating the incredible talent, skill and time taken to produce a peice of art like this. Oh well! :D xxxx
nscode Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Impresive - yes. Art - naaaaah ;) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
