Dora leaking oil

I have been flying the dora for awhile now, but the last two times

I flew multiplayer, I started leaking oil and leaving a trail behind me.

I have never messed with the radiator or anything but normal

startup procedures, so I wonder what I am doing wrong

running full throttle but no other things changed as back

in time ? Has something changed with 1.5 ??

Thanks for any help with this !

Mike

Thank You Sithspawn, I tried searching for oil leaks in the dora forum before

I posted on the forum. I was in a dog fight the first time, and I attributed

it to getting hit, but the second time it happened, I was alone.

I appreciate knowing its nothing I did wrong like failing to operate

the cowls and overheated my engine.

Remember... As long as you are LEAKING oil...You're not OUT of oil...Especially important in Huey's.

Is this what you are talking about? Because I have (kind of) been having the same issue. I get the trail, but for me it happens regardless of how I am flying. I can be at 50% or 100% throttle, water/oil temp at 0 degrees or 150 degrees, and it will still just randomly show up. Has anyone found a fix for it, or if ED plans to patch it soon? This is very frustrating to have a long grey trail leading straight to your aircraft in a dogfight.

Hi gents,

i have the same problem from time to time. It happens often when i work to hard with the throttle. i mean when i push it to fast forwart o reducing fast from full power to zero throttle.

If i work smoos with the throttle i dont have this problem.

regards

I personally suspect it's something triggered by an abrupt change in manifold pressure. In the Dora when the ATA goes up at 3300m or whatever, it triggers. I can also trigger it in the Dora and 109 by slamming the throttle forward instantly.

ED is hopefully doing something about it. But then again, the 109's brakes in DCS can still cause you to frontflip at 10km/h months and months later.
