Bummer Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) Hello Devrim. I have a question about some lines that are visible on some panels. I believe it has to do something with the A-10C-CPT-BOARDS-TXTDAY file. Do you have any idea how to remove these, or why they are there. Edited September 25, 2017 by Bummer Fixed. Devrim Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) And again, a good catch from Bummer. Thanks a lot. The alpha channel background color of the original texture is a true black (#000000), but in Ric's mod, the background color is not exact black. I get #060606 and #070707 values from place to place. Ok. What they say... Determining the cause is the half way of the solution. :) I'll fix and update the mod. Thanks again. JIMJAM Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Latest 2.0+ placed folder into liveries and in game in special the a10c has only default cockpit. Speed read through the post and might have missed something but any help welcomed. Thanks...:)
Devrim Posted September 23, 2017 Author Posted September 23, 2017 You did put Liveries folder in DCS folder (in Saved Games), right? or what? JIMJAM Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 (edited) I have a DCS folder and a DCS.openalpha. It went into the 1st one. There is no .openalpha which tbo I do not recall if I am running. DCS is 300+ megs and openalpha is 200 megs. Do I need to create a LIVERIES folder in the openalpha? Going to try and see what happens. **** YES. The liveries went into the openalpha and it works. Hopefully this will help someone in the future. This explains a lot and why some user files I recently tried did not work. I have a pet peeve about right off the showroom floor aircraft and really appreciate your time/effort in weathering the interior. Thanks, JIMJAM Edited September 23, 2017 by JIMJAM
Devrim Posted September 23, 2017 Author Posted September 23, 2017 Ok, but in ReadMe.txt file, it says; +--------------+ | INSTALLATION | +--------------+ Open the zip (mod) file. Copy (or hold & drag) "Liveries" folder (from the mod zip) into "C:\Users\{your-user-name}\Saved Games\DCS" folder and overwrite. Is this not clear for installing the mod? I ask this, because English is not my native language. If instruction is not clear, please let me know how to correct it for other players. Thanks in advance. :) Intel i7-14700@5.6GHz | MSI RTX4080 SuperSuprimX | Corsair V. 64GB@6400MHz. | Samsung 1TB 990 PRO SSD (Win10Homex64) Samsung G5 32" + Samsung 18" + 2x8"TFT Displays | TM Warthog Stick w/AVA Base | VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle | TM MFD Cougars | Logitech G13, G230, G510, PZ55 & Farming Sim Panel | TIR5 & M.Quest3 VR >>MY MODS<< | Discord: Devrim#1068
JIMJAM Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 I had 2 folders in my saved games folder. One was DCS. Thats the one I and the instructions say to place it in. Did not show up in game. The second folder is DCS.openalpha I assume thats a ALPHA version. My install was done LATE at night as is rather long. Also there are many patches automatically added. That said, I have no clue but when placed into the .openalpha folder your mod worked. Maybe someone can chime in but either I have a unique install or others already know this.
Devrim Posted September 23, 2017 Author Posted September 23, 2017 Thank you UNABLE. I had 2 folders in my saved games folder...That' right. There're two DCS folder in my Saved Games folder too. DCS (v1.5 Stable Version), and DCS.openalpha (v2.1), and maybe some friends have DCS.openbeta (v1.5 OB version). But it doesn't matter. If you copy Liveries folder in any DCS.xxx folder, the mod will be ready for selecting in OPTIONS/SPECIAL screen. If you can't see the mod in Customized Cockpit menu, that means there's something wrong with your installation. MadDog-IC Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) Ok, but in ReadMe.txt file, it says; Is this not clear for installing the mod? Just getting around to putting all of your wonderful english cockpit mods into DCSW 1.57.10175 using the pull downs in the special menu to choose language of cockpit. Yes your instructions are very clear and I have never had a problem with installing any of your mods, I have installed all of your english cockpit mods into my DCS "User Saved Games" directory and all but one work correctly: c:\Users\Ian\Saved Games\Dcs\Liveries\ However the "Ricardo A-10c HD v1.2.6" one does not have the new option in the pull down in special menu to select other than default, I have double checked the directories, names, etc, but it just fails to work. c:\Users\Ian\Saved Games\Dcs\Liveries\A10C-CPT\ Is DCS just broken or is there something else a foot. PS: If I install the A-10c Ricardo HD cockpit the old way, in the games own liveries folder it works as advertised, but not from the "User Saved Games" directory structure. I would like to have it work the later way. Update to why this mod was not working in the saved game folders: Turns out my file / directory manager (Total commander) had an option turned on that when I create a directory would change the name of the directory to Uppercase for the first letter and lowercase all the other letters, ie A10c-cpt, this must be in all Uppercase: ie A10C-CPT or it doesn't work. Zarma Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Isnt this cockpit the same as the one in DCS ? i9 9900k, 64 Go RAM, RTX 4090, Warthog HOTAS Throttle & Stick, Virpil AH64 collective, TPR rudder, MFD Cougar, Trackir 5 Pro, Multipurpose UFC, Alain Dufour's TEDAC and Oculus Rift S (when I want some VR), http://www.twitch.tv/zarma4074 / https://www.youtube.com/user/Zarma4074

Zarma Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 in DCS A10C's options you can change the cockpit for a Ricardo one.
