CoBlue Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Don't know if you folks have seen it, but the Mig-15 is one tough bird! [ame] [/ame] The 2 pilots survived & the Mig got restored & flew again:) i7 8700k@4.7, 1080ti, DDR4 32GB, 2x SSD , HD 2TB, W10, ASUS 27", TrackIr5, TMWH, X-56, GProR.
King_Hrothgar Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Did someone screw up the center of gravity or did the elevator jam in full up position?
zaelu Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I think is repaired already. It was years ago. iirc it was pilot error. it also looks like one. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
domini99 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I knew that this mig crashed, but never knew it was recovered and repaired.
King_Hrothgar Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 The pilot rotated too early. He had a bad habit of it in his earlier flights in that Mig-15. Wow, how did he pass basic flight school? It looks like he was dragging the tail before it ever left the ground, and it was deliberate? In any case, good to hear it was repaired.

I knew a guy who spent 30 years with the airlines who bought it because he spun his Mooney into a treeline. We try to stay on top of things the best we can, but we're still fallible humans all the same. Even if we are awesome. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
SimFreak Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I'm impressed on toughness of the aircraft. I expected to see fireball when they rolled.
zcrazyx Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 It's worth knowing the trim could have been messed with (from a landing) It is easy to hit the trim lever in the mig
