ED Team f-18hornet Posted December 2, 2015 ED Team Posted December 2, 2015 If you want training missions right now then you need 1.51 version. AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, GeForce RTX 2080Ti, 32 GB DRAM, HOTAS TM Warthog, FSSB R3 Lighting, MFG Crosswind, Win 10 Pro
cichlidfan Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 None of my aircraft come with training in 2.0 release. Why?:music_whistling: Because it is an Alpha release whose purpose it to test the terrain and engine, not existing missions. Flogger23m Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I don't expect modules to remake training missions in the new maps. And I hope all future modules have training in the Black Sea map. Would be terrible if you bought a module and then found out you needed to spend $40-60 on a map just to utilize the training missions. Everyone will have the Black Sea map. The same can't be said about NTTR, Straits, Normandy or any other map in progress.
dburne Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Agreed, with all the training mission already available in the Black Sea Map, don't really see a reason to make new ones just for a new map. Once the map gets integrated into World 2, then the training missions will be there obviously. OnlyforDCS Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 It's not a big deal. Do your interactive training mission startup on the blacksea map several times (while you memorize the key commands, switches and get your checklist down). Quit. Load up a ramp start in 2.0 and repeat without the training wheels. :) Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

KLUTCH Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 So we need to have the old DCS to learn on... this is the most complicated system, it's first priority should be making it easy to learn and find information. 1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted January 27, 2017 ED Team Posted January 27, 2017 DCS 2.0 open alpha is early access for the NTTR terrain and require's the purchase of the terrain. We are waiting for the builds to merge into DCS 2.5 where everything will be in one place. Until that happens having two installs DCS 1.5 and DCS 2.0 is the best option. I imagine training will always be in the free map, it is the easiest place for new users to learn. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? cthulhu68 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) So we need to have the old DCS to learn on... this is the most complicated system, it's first priority should be making it easy to learn and find information. Not only for training but single missions and campaigns as well. As Flogger23m pointed out you probably wouldn't want to be forced to by a map too. The 3 version thing certainly makes it confusing for newcomers but this is an active forum with many helpful people to help answer any questions. EDIT: See! I ccouldnt type fast enough and Bignewy beat me to the punch. Edited January 27, 2017 by cthulhu68
