I feel Pelles should be translated as Scoops; the auxilliary inlets themselves are spring-loaded, the scoop is actuated to force the airflow through the lower auxilliary inlets in certain conditions (high alt/mach/AoA).

Redglyph Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Just as an observation, I'm using the English labels in the Ka-50 because it's easier to remember for me, but I found a little unsettling to have the Russian labels in the manual and having to find the English corresponding ones in the cockpit. It could be the same problem here for people who don't speak French. I'm not sure what is the best way to organize that in the manual, but it's probably worth thinking about. Perhaps the label in the same language as the manual, and between parentheses the original one? Toertchen Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I know its WIP, but regarding Landing Lights: At the moment you have: OFF-TAXI-LANDING Should be TAXI-OFF-LANDING ;-) Anyway, at the moment I find that the mirage has not so many switches. So if you playing around with the cockpit (about 2-3 hours), you know the things behind the switches. A MiG21 only in russian would be horrible :lol: Nevertheless it looks great.

I had it translated as scoops originally but it just looks funny, inlet sounds more "military". As to the 2 versus 3 position switches, I thought it was something like that but didn't know that was a confirmed bug, so I just did off versus on. An earlier version had pelles = scoops, souris = cones, becs = slats, but I just thought scoops looked silly as I said.
