Beware, just added new fix for VTB-enhanced (heading tape texture) .... see previous post

Enhanced VTB mod...

 

Fix / modification list:

- Default green color adjusted

- Default yellow color adjusted

- Radar Grid aligned between 15° / 30° / 60° [new textures]

- Radar Grid now partially yellow in PPI mode [new textures]

- ADI and POL mode circle smaller [new textures]

- TDC Smaller [new textures]

- TDC colored in yellow

- TDC's range & Azimuth data floating point decimals removed

- TDC's range & Azimuth data position adjusted

- Top target data position fixed, now yellow colored

- Vertical Scale position adjusted (to left)

- Nav data position adjusted

- Heading scale thinner, position adjusted

- "Tape" (little vertical line) position corrected (aligned to velocity vector and "delta")

- "ENT" and "PIC/PID" text little moved to the right

- Bottom infos (speed, alt) text smaller, position adjusted

- Adjusted Mach text position for targets in TWS and Locked mode

 

Fix added after 14h07 (France houre):

- Heading tape texture now aligned (original is full of misalignment) [new texture]

- Heading tape adjusted (less height) [new texture]

 

It seem the real grid is partially in yellow, but i'am not sure... If someone can tell me that, in fact, all is green, i just remove this modification...

Specially, make the TDC and ADI smaller, and maybe some other symbologies... in the real one we can see that we have more clear space to view targets, it is less confusing...

 

Great photo. Besides the great look of the VTB, I also noticed that you can see the AOA gauge on the left of the HUD panel which you can't see in our cockpit. Looking forward to that being addressed as well.

Maybe i should create a separate topic... with some good versions... i prefer to keep some versions, since the enhanced one use different textures and have some major changes in the LUA...

I'm not really a great specialist with Mirage 2000C and it's for this reason that I ask this question, your Mod is really more close of real Mirage 2000C than Razbam ?

 

There's few minutes I've installed your Mod and for me it's perfect, great job !!!

 

I have a question concerning your 8 files from your second folder "IndicationTextures", I've drop these 8 files and please can you tell me if it's good like that as my screenshot, no problem:

If it's so "easy" to do with the lua Razbam should at least consider making this an option under the special tab in the settings.

Sedenion and Rlaxoxo have both contributed quite a bit to the Mirage already, I think Sedenions fixes should be incorporated as were Rlaxoxo's keybindings.

I don't say that you didn't have to made those change, I'm actually using sedenions tweaks. But stop stating that Razbam is wrong and that they need to take sedenion in the team. VTB colors and final tweaks will be made last after all systems are in place

( Obviously Razbam can do... I think the question was never if i should be in the team or not, but if the content of this mod should be considerated for a futur official fix... i only offer some help, since i have time to spend and it's fun to me, that's all. If what i do helps Razbam it's cool, if not, so be it...

 

[and since i spent some time in the LUA code, i well know that some features are currently not implemented, even if the symbology exists in the textures, so these LUA are obviously destined to be modified by Razbam in futur updates...so this mod is not here to "survive", just here as temporary fix, help and example purpose] )

He's done great work and has gotten a +1 from me. I am wondering if he is willing to code one last display for us considering he has a great picture to use as reference =). The RWR display is cluttered as if the whole display was shrunk and fit only into the inner ring. Sedenion we need you!

As for VTB's target and TDC area limits, it is coded in the module dll, not in the LUA files... here, i can't do anything.

I never thought that Razbam made something wrong

 

I think most of the people realize that what they're doing it takes time to do it right and so far for my self I just wanted to do somthing about it rather then wait so I made it work for my self

 

Now what "I guess" people mean is that if they can use community fixes and build on that it can help them save some time.

 

So doing all of this isn't pointless per say and mirage is getting better every day
