When I joined the RAAF in 1980s, we were still flying this majestic fighter. I didn't get to fly it, but I had a chance to fly the Hornet, which was better than sex.... Well, sort of.

Thanks Speedbird, Im jealous that you got to fly a fast mover, I was a grunt and I remember in the late 70's the Mirages at Butterworth, the Rifle Company even got a photo with one, and in the late 80's on another rotation to Butterworth we had a Squadron of Hornets come thru. I fell in love with them very quickly.

My take on a Mirage from 77 Sqn RAAF The "Grumpy Monkey " its uploaded, should be ready for DL soon. The unit motto is "Swift to Destroy" and the crest features an oriental temple lion , a legacy of No. 77 Squadron's role in the Korean War. Nicknamed the "grumpy monkey", the lion represents "a defender of peace, which, when disturbed, is swift to destroy". :

When I started reading this thread, I really wanted to play in this jet with this great Aussie camo that is similar to what I put on a model a few decades ago.

Now, I don't want to play, I just want to see more of your astounding work. This is one of the best art galleries I've ever seen. (I'm 3 pints in, so that may contribute to my enthusiasm)
