Hello gentlemen, as you might know i have done a Su-30 flyable mod, and it works now too for 1.5.2: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1412237/

As for now i heard there are many "Tiger II"-fans who would like to fly it. Me too i am first of these fans and yesterday i took me the challenge to do one for the F-5E with A-10A cockpit.

Q: Why with A-10A?

A: Because the cockpit are very similar...Look at that! ;)

It's quite nice and but even if i have uploaded it it's still surely not perfect.... :smilewink:

for now you have to play with that candy shot :music_whistling:

Thanks, you've just have some hours to wait and then you'll get it. It is not perfect either, with many bugs but i'll assure you that seeing her in the air is a pleasure :smilewink:

I am not doubling efforts as Belsimtek is doing a module, mine is mod. This one is just for people who wants to fly the Tiger II until belsimtek releases it. It's my contribute to the community as i can't do modules...:D

If flown in MP, will other pilots see the F5 or the A10A?

To respond.... :D

If flown in MP, the other players will see the Tiger, as it's its external model....;).

The cockpit is the biggest (and probably one of the two) bugs i told you about. I am working to it, but even, with argument 114 doesn't change.

I am sorry for these issues....:(

sorry, but no. This is a very bad Mod.

Why A-10A cockpit? MiG-29 cockpit would fit way better.

AND

before uploading a Mod, at least adjust the cockpit position. Hint: move cockpit forward and upward.

Avionics: use SU-25A or MiG-29A (if you want RADAR) avionics, but SU-25T feels wrong with it's TV screen but no Mavarics or TGP

I said because the A-10A pit is very similar with that of the F-5E.... Just look at photos.

MiG-29? You're :drunk: if you think that. At least basic realism... USA pits with USA planes....

No insult intended....But at least respect other people's work...

This is a bug since 1.5, it makes the AI model have a solid pit and can't be removed to fit a Human one,

moving the human pit up and forwards helps with aesthetic of the overlapping pits

but can create an issue that now the pit is higher, the model is a feet below you,

so on landing you'll be on glide slope on the hud but the model is that bit lower down so you can end up thumping into the tarmac or flight deck

TBH, this mod is a waste of time.

The official F5E is en route, and all this will do is cause confusion.

no offence, but the general shape of the MiG-29 cockpit fits better than the shape of the A-10A. You are right for the instruments, but than, why use SU-25T avionics and not A-10A avionics?

Btw, the F-5 has an a-2-a Radar, the MiG-29A Avionics with search mode and basic a-2-g modes represents the F-5 much closer than the 25T. You can deactivate functions via input lua, and change the cockpit positions with view.lua (with is not included in your mod, just copy one from another flyable mod and adjust the position)

Take a look at the SU-30 or F-15E or A-7E mods how they do it.

My words do not mean that I don't respect other peoples work, but just don't upload something that unfinished

Yes i know. In 1.2.16 this worked originally because as you go look entry.lua you'll see the instruments should be them from A-10A....
