I have a question concerning the Revi 16B gunsight on the Bf-109 K4. When the sight is folded for a better view, the view immediately moves to the left and when it´s unfolded again, it moves to the right again. Is there any way to disable that so the view just stays the same? For me, it's really annoying, especially because i'm using TrackiR.

i guess the normal position "is centred on the revi" ... if you fold the revi down, you should get centred in the middle of the plane.

At the moment this is not working correctly. youre centred in the plane and when u fold the revi, you get decentred of the plane .... its been like that for 2 patch iterations now ... havent been like that before.

There are two types of fighter pilots - those who have, and those who will execute a magnificent break turn towards a bug on the canopy . . . .

I also search around, but found no solution to stay the head centred in the plane.

After lock the Revi you view is automatic going to the right, think can only done by ED.

Once you have tasted Flight, you will forever walk the Earth with your Eyes turned Skyward.

Schnarre [Aggro], please check the file SnapViews.lua from \Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\

In section SnapViews["Bf-109K-4"] subsection [13] = {--default view you should have parameter z_trans = 0.061980,

Let me know if you have same value or not.

EDIT: allright , i checked and your value seems to be just right ;) .... i knew that it was possible to change it, BUT i am of the opinion that "ed should" change it in the upcoming patches .... man .. i did it so very often(in the a10 and the ka50) that i just dont want to do any work in the luas any more ... thats just my lazybones talking ;)

Schnarre [Aggro] thanks for your help. It's not about just changing in upcoming patches, but we should find out why it was changed to wrong numbers.

I don't know about the view numbers I checked and mine and they were as they should be

I do run TrackIR

As far as the shifting of the view that happens with or without TrackIR enabled

Update on current situation with the issue. The new setting has been added to BF-109 special options page. So you can choose from three modes: auto (as it works now) or one of two base positions - by center of plane and center of gunsight. This setting will be available in the next update.

(re: Message #1)

I create a Snap-View (LWin + 0 to 9), centered, front cockpit glass, zoomed to maximum and map it to a joystick button. Some servers do not allow LAlt + F1.

You can also create one unzoomed or whatever you want.

Save your views "angles" with RAlt + Num 0

I also create an alternate "Iron Sight" for when my illuminated target reticule gets damaged.

Get creative, find a work-around...

I am not using TrackIR.

I actually found a work-around, i center my view to the middle of the cockpit constantly and when i fold my sight, i center it again. It works with TrackIr so i kind of found a work-around for it. I do it by pressing shift and then 4,8,6 or 2 on the numpad ( i changed the default keybindings).
