We are aware of the issue. It will be fixed in due time.

Beats me. Seriously, it does. As far as we can see, we are doing everything right and yet they don't illuminate the runway. Something is missing and we don't know what it is. But we will look for it and fix this issue.

OK Thanks...

By the way, great bird... It has become my favorite after the A-10C...

Just landed at Mc Carran, that virtual runway is the hit.

If it had just lit the runway properly, would had been perfect.

Hi again Zeus67.

I have seen that the nose illumination of the A-10C

works now in 2.0.1.. About the Mirage Lights that don't illuminate the runway, maybe this is the same problem ? Shouldn't you ask the guys at ED?

Most of the Spot Lights on the Rotary Wings dont show on FARP but on the ground.

The Issue is unrelated to the M2000C Lights, which arent rendering a world light source at all.

Yep, and it seems to be on by default on ramp start although the switch is in the off position. You have to cycle on/off once to turn it off.

What are you talking about?

The thread is about the

Mirage 200C landing lights

which don't illuminate the runway

and NOTHING else.

Well that's where you're wrong, because the thread now contains two bugs: 1) the landing light doesn't illuminate the terrain and 2) the landing light flashes. :)

The second bug only occurs in 1.5.3, not 2.0.1.

Sorry nomdeplume, by all means I am NOT WRONG,

the thread was started as " the landing light doesn't illuminate the terrain"

I have seen that it flashes in 1.5.3, but the MAIN AND INEXPLICABLE PROBLEM IS STILL that the Mirage is the ONLY aircraft in DCS world (and I have a dozen of them), in which the landing light are on, but doesn't light anything up at night.

That is because we used the wrong definition for the landing lights. Now that we are using the right definitions, the lights are flashing.

I think people got it now...

And FYI, when a dev talks about "definition", he's not talking about dictionary definition, he's talking about a piece of code that will magically do something. In that case, define a light that lights up stuff.

Wrong definition means using the wrong code piece. Call it a bug.

I meant people are not chatting about it like its nothing.

It's a bug and recognized a such, and will be fixed.

Check this post:

It is a known bug that came as a result of us trying to make them illuminate the runway. We are working to fix it but the schedule conspired against us and we had made too many modifications to roll them back. So we decided to send them as is until they get fixed.

Thanks for the report.
