ac5 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 OK..... Zeus67, thanks... But how comes that the Mirage is the ONLY aircraft in DCS world in which the landing light are on, but doesn't light anything up at night? Zeus67 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 OK..... Zeus67, thanks... But how comes that the Mirage is the ONLY aircraft in DCS world in which the landing light are on, but doesn't light anything up at night? Beats me. Seriously, it does. As far as we can see, we are doing everything right and yet they don't illuminate the runway. Something is missing and we don't know what it is. But we will look for it and fix this issue. ac5 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 OK Thanks... By the way, great bird... It has become my favorite after the A-10C... Just landed at Mc Carran, that virtual runway is the hit. If it had just lit the runway properly, would had been perfect. ac5 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Hi again Zeus67. I have seen that the nose illumination of the A-10C works now in 2.0.1.. About the Mirage Lights that don't illuminate the runway, maybe this is the same problem ? Shouldn't you ask the guys at ED? gospadin Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 FWIW, spotlights on the Mi-8 don't light up FARPs either. May be a bug in the new graphics engine or something? My liveries, mods, and missions for DCS:World M-2000C English Cockpit | Extra Beacons Mod | Nav Kneeboard | Community A-4E
SkateZilla Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Most of the Spot Lights on the Rotary Wings dont show on FARP but on the ground. The Issue is unrelated to the M2000C Lights, which arent rendering a world light source at all. ac5 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Hello YoYo, What do you mean "In 2.0.1 is ok" ????? :shocking: In 2.0.1 AND in 1.5.3 The landing light don't illuminate the runway! ac5 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 What are you talking about? The thread is about the Mirage 200C landing lights which don't illuminate the runway and NOTHING else. nomdeplume Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 What are you talking about? The thread is about the Mirage 200C landing lights which don't illuminate the runway and NOTHING else. Well that's where you're wrong, because the thread now contains two bugs: 1) the landing light doesn't illuminate the terrain and 2) the landing light flashes. :) The second bug only occurs in 1.5.3, not 2.0.1.
ac5 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Sorry nomdeplume, by all means I am NOT WRONG, the thread was started as " the landing light doesn't illuminate the terrain" I have seen that it flashes in 1.5.3, but the MAIN AND INEXPLICABLE PROBLEM IS STILL that the Mirage is the ONLY aircraft in DCS world (and I have a dozen of them), in which the landing light are on, but doesn't light anything up at night. Mainboard: ASUS Maximus X Hero Intel Z 370 CPU: Intel Core i7-8086K @ 4.0 GHz Memory: 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3000 Graphics Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Monitor ASUS PA 329 32" @ 4K 1 SSD Samsung 860 PRO 256 GB 1 SSD Samsung 860 PRO 4 TB Windows 10 - 64 V. 2004 CH Pro combatstick, throttle and pedals

That is because we used the wrong definition for the landing lights. Now that we are using the right definitions, the lights are flashing. ac5 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Definitions, lights flashing..... PiedDroit Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) Definitions, lights flashing..... The MAIN AND INEXPLICABLE PROBLEM IS STILL that the Mirage is the ONLY aircraft in DCS world (and I have a dozen of them), in which the landing light are on, but doesn't light anything up at night. I think people got it now... And FYI, when a dev talks about "definition", he's not talking about dictionary definition, he's talking about a piece of code that will magically do something. In that case, define a light that lights up stuff. Wrong definition means using the wrong code piece. Call it a bug. Edited February 20, 2016 by PiedDroit
ac5 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Of course I call it a bug... A huge annoying one. And a unique one. PiedDroit Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Of course I call it a bug... A huge annoying one. And a unique one. I meant people are not chatting about it like its nothing. It's a bug and recognized a such, and will be fixed. Check this post: It is a known bug that came as a result of us trying to make them illuminate the runway. We are working to fix it but the schedule conspired against us and we had made too many modifications to roll them back. So we decided to send them as is until they get fixed. Thanks for the report.
