TomCatMucDe Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Okay folks some of the job done in the radar today: Fixed TDC axis. Enabled antenna axis. Fixed TDC bug making it immobile when a target is locked. Updated TDC info (still WiP) Switched IFF interrogation symbols Fixed IFF "friendly" diamond position to center of V (as per new info) Fixed STT altitude in meters. Now it is displayed in feet. Zeus, if I was Apple or Google CEO I would hire you instantly!

IcarusGR Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Cant read the whole discusion, so I just ask... Until the PRF switch is introduced, the only current PRF available is ILV? Is it really working as ILV on all bar scans and azi positions (at the moment?) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now my bitter hands cradle broken glass of what was a good kill...

TomCatMucDe Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 If I am flying at a certain altitude and hear from awacs that contact are flying higher or below me and i know their altitude and distance, how do I know how much I need to elevate my antenna, do I need to manually calculate it myself? Is it somehow possible to see it in the VTB? Equally, when I move up and down the radar, how can I read in the VTB what's the altitude of the radar scan zone limits based on where my TDC is? I couldnt find answers in the manual. Thanks in advance :)
nomdeplume Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 It isn't implemented yet, but the cursor is supposed to show the min and max altitude being scanned at its position. So yes, for now you have to guess or calculate it yourself.

mattebubben Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Love the changes and thanks guys =). Now im just waiting for the ability to slave the Magic II to the Radar.

nomdeplume Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What are the number on the Radar Up and down Line mean? I'm not sure what you're asking - 'radar up and down line'? The numbers on the radar cursor at the moment are the distance (in nautical miles, on the left) and the left/right offset (in degrees, on the right) for the cursor position relative to your aircraft.

Next to the antenna elevation there is a number changing from 1,2,4. This is the scan zone. Gotta catch them all bandits! :joystick:
mattebubben Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 May i suggest you give a more "compact" option when it comes to some of the radar controlls. For example together with the 3 different buttons for the Azimuth (Narrow/Middle/Wide) and the different buttons for the Scan zones i think you should give the option to have a single button that switches between the modes. So you jump from one mode to the next (Narrow-> Middle -> Wide ->) but using the same button. Since that way you dont need to have 3 keybinds but can do with just one. Ofc keep the seperate buttons aswell but it would help with a option to jump between the different Steps (since its a single selector switch with different steps for the different modes so makes sense to have a single control were you can jump between them)

Jacks Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 +2 Or at the very least two key bindings instead of 3 so instead of 45,30 &15 you can have increase or decrease scan area. I added for all this functions one button for each kind option. Perhaps in Saitek You can do same with the software. I added it as seqence - for example 1, 2, and 4 scan - the one button on TH MFD Cogar with TARGET software. But i think it would just be easier / simpler overall if they gave the option for such a control. Since most people do not have Warthogs...
Pikey Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I've got an x52, what you say is true YoYo but I don't use the software because its rubbish and prefer DCS's excellent binding system directly in the software, like many other Saitek users. Realistically cycling buttons has been the defacto ever since G was used for both wheels up and wheels down. Cycling through three radar modes is no harder, but i am equally pleased that Razbam are thinking about cockpit builders right from the outside with the other toggle modes, I think its the way to go. I'm sure they will add it :) ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Many thank's I don't think you can It's always scanning 60 degrees to the left & right But if you use Middle narrow or middile radar scan zone it moves with your TDC cursor [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
