Hueyman Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Hi guys, Do you think ( and could BST confirm ) the current UH-1 version is the definitive one ? I've once heard of a major upgrade of this already 3 years old product, called UH-1H V2, what about this ? Some major flaws are still present, like the total lack of engine fatigue life and power management. Other less important features, like the rotor-brake, too high skids ( not the low skid version nor high skid, a mix between ) as well as proper integration of troop transport ( also a work from ED ), to have 3D troops and animations of boarding/unboarding, fast roping etc. Would like to know if their first module was going to have some love before next ones are started. rogonaut Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 yea, i would love modeled troops thats for sure - a must have sooner or later if u ask me! also some landing noise from the skids would be nice.
flying rabbit Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 The UH-1H has no rotorbrake. But the rest is missing yes.
Hueyman Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Most of 'em didn't had one back in the 'Nam days, but as this version is not the very early 60's one, it should be equipped with such ( even though I admit it's not essential ... ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPL(A)IR ME/SEP/MEP/SET - CPL(H)
flying rabbit Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 It could get essential on the carrier though. :D
Hueyman Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Yep nice find !! But since rotor flapping isn't simulated ... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPL(A)IR ME/SEP/MEP/SET - CPL(H)
Elwood Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Honestly, compare to other issue the Huey is just fine. Whish that all modules works good as the Huey!
Aviators Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 the manual is not complete. L'importante non è stabilire se uno ha paura o meno, è saper convivere con la propria paura e non farsi condizionare dalla stessa. Ecco, il coraggio è questo, altrimenti non è più coraggio ma incoscienza.
msalama Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 the manual is not complete. Yeah, lots of stuff missing still. Hey c'mon BST, I'll buy whatever you make in the future... PROVIDED that you'll finish what you started first... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Buzzles Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 BST have been updating the Mi-8 and the Sabre recently, both have had quite a bit of work over the last 12 months, and we know they're nearly there with the F-5E. You never know, but as the Huey was BST's first module, it might actually be more of a rewrite rather than an upgrade. I'd imagine we'll hear more once their resources free up, but I've got no doubt they'll come around to it. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!

Nooch Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 The Huey is a complete module that has been finished long ago. So let's not be too impatient and greedy for information here. They probably don't even know themselves when they are going to update the Huey module. I guess they are already very busy working on the F-5 and finishing the Mi-8 so let's let them work in peace please. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Haukka81 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Huey is not completely ready, engine limits are missing etc.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
secret1962 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Huey is NOT finished. Some engine parameters still need to be set up, etc. Still waiting for multiplayer multi crew support also. Did you forget about it ? (referred to the people saying huey has been finished)
Nooch Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 If it's out of beta it is technically feature complete. If it doesn't have all the features you want, then it's another discussion. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sniperwolfpk5 Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Yes I would like these features Win10, Intel 3rd Gen. Core i7 3.8Ghz, 20GB ram, Nvidia Geforce 1060 6GB Opentrack (Download it from HERE), PS3 Eye, Saitek x52-pro Joystick, DIY Rudder Pedals, Google Cardboard with DCS World English is not my native language
msalama Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 If it doesn't have all the features you want What we may (or may not) want has nothing to do with this, because the features mentioned are something BST has already promised to implement at some point. We'd just like to know when ;) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Hueyman Posted April 23, 2016 Author Posted April 23, 2016 Of course it's status RELEASED, meaning they are don't focusing a lot of energy anymore on it, as main bugs and required fixes were made. Not looking for a perfect module, but such things would be more than welcome to be fixed at some point. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPL(A)IR ME/SEP/MEP/SET - CPL(H)
