Shiny metal

Is it possible to make bare metal skins for MiG-21 that are more shiny and reflective than the stock skins? I am thinking something similar to the MiG-15 skins not mirror shiny like P-51 or F-86.

Edit: I'm not making a skin request just wondering if this same effect is possible on MiG-21 as on MiG-15.

I have to admit that's my only gripe with, otherwise excellent, Rudel's skins. The silver finish on the -21 looks like a plastic with gloss coat on it, rather than semi-gloss silver paint used on Warsaw Pact airframes after first overhauls. Belsimtek managed to capture this type of finish perfectly on the -15. Would love to see something like that on the -21 too.

First pic might not be the best example, as it's clearly natural metal finish, the last one is perfect, though.

I'm actually working on this still. The spec map that's used now is just a quickly made-up one.

Hi -Rudel- Also VERY HAPPY to hear that.

Also my repaint of the MIG-21 looks like plastic, due to the lack of a proper

PSD repaint template, and more so in comparison of the ones I made of the P-51,

MIG 15, and Sabre.

Debating if I wanna Get my hands Dirty w/ the -21, it'd be a can of worms for me... once I start I wouldn't be able to stop.

Something like this?

Finally got the PaintKit, Man, it takes Foreeeeeever to save the master DDS.. lol.

Anyway... Quick Pass at making the difference clouds...*Just to test*

Maybe this weekend I Work on an actual difference cloud layer and customize it to the panel lines and dull it off some as it still has a crazy powerful reflective flare.

Left Wing Default, Right Wing Quick Adjustment, which is actually intentionally overdone to show difference.

I was sure I downloaded this skin

In my game it looks more white and not so shiny like your pictures.

Would it be possible for you to make your shiny skin with Russia and Poland markings?

I attached some pics of how it looks in my DCS 1.5

The skin's not active yet what I presented is only part of the treatment for the skin server MB2. Skin which is of interest is the internal and work on it therefore not public. (translated Google)

For a silver paint finish it's too glossy. For a polished aluminium finish, it's good, but small differences in shades of metal sheets are needed (as on photo one of the first post in this thread). Nevertheless, I like the direction You're going with this texture.

Looks Good, Just need some Slight Difference Cloud noise.

This was my Last Shot at adding Specular Difference before I lost ability to render DDS Files:

(Will Continue developing when I can)

Top (Left Wing) is Default, Bottom (Right Wing), Is Modified.
