QuiGon Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 That's indeed interesting. PS: The topic isn't telling much ;) Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

VTJS17_Fire Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Very extensive and interessting, especially the ECM chapter. Fantastic read, thanks. Maybe, ED can use this as research for a more realistic jamming simulation in DCS. Bushmanni Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Good job with the blog, garrya. All the english language info about radars, aerodynamics is either professional stuff with too narrow scope and too much details into one specific system or it's a 10kg 100$ brick meant for students aiming to be professionals or if it's meant for non professionals it's too dumbed down to be of any use to really understand anything. You are striking just the right balance. DCS Finland: Suomalainen DCS yhteisö -- Finnish DCS community -------------------------------------------------- SF Squadron

So if you don't mind can you try and tell me whether the blog load too slow or not?
VTJS17_Fire Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 For me, it loads fast (32 Mbit/s cable internet connection). garrya Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 For me, it loads fast (32 Mbit/s cable internet connection). So as i understand the 32Mbyte/sec is the peak speed ? or average speed ?. Seem like most people have slower internet connection according to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Internet_connection_speeds Btw do you like the new or old display more ? :P

Seem like most people have slower internet connection according to this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Internet_connection_speeds Btw do you like the new or old display more ? :P I like the new one more. I don't measure my connection speed every day, but I have rarely speed/ connection problems. The 32Mbit/s is the contractually agreed Connection Speed with my ISP. It depends on the (used) connection speed of other customers as well, because the cable network (DOCSIS) uses a technique called shared medium between the customer (modem) and the CMTS. The average list in your link includes all ISP customers, also these in the rural Areas, which have normally lower Speeds and those with older contracts. regards, Fire Hardware: Intel i5 4670K | Zalman NPS9900MAX | GeIL 16GB @1333MHz | Asrock Z97 Pro4 | Sapphire Radeon R9 380X Nitro | Samsung SSDs 840 series 120GB & 250 GB | Samsung HD204UI 2TB | be quiet! Thank you, i was very hesitant to add too many equation and technical details since i was worried that readers may find it too boring Looks good on mobile phone as well. That actually a surprise for me, i always thought the spacing in phone will look weird always enjoy your posts, garrya. Thank you Probad
