QuiGon Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I see that this pdf was posted a year ago by Belsimtek and I was wondering if we can still can expect the Huey simulation to get further updates? http://www.belsimtek.com/upload/docs/development-tasks.pdf I would also to know. Proper engine temp & power output simulation would make the Huey way more fun to fly! Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
WelshZeCorgi Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I would also to know. Proper engine temp & power output simulation would make the Huey way more fun to fly! What would change? I mean in how you would fly the Huey?
bkthunder Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 +100 this is the thing many of us have been waiting for, for a long time now... As to what would change, there is probably too much to write it. Basically, the way you handle the chopper and how much you pull on the collective will have to take into consideration engine temperature, unless you want to have an engine failure. So, no more cruising at 120 kts or do a vertical take off fully loaded  Windows 10 - Intel i7 7700K 4.2 Ghz (no OC) - Asus Strix GTX 1080 8Gb - 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz) - SSD 500GB + WD Black FZEX 1TB 6Gb/s
ESAc_matador Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 You should have to learn different types of take off since you cant ask for full power. In small spaces if you have too much weigth plus you have to spin clockside to get higer speed in the blades for instance... Lots of chamges
msalama Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 if we can still can expect the Huey simulation to get further updates? I certainly hope so, since the chopper is still incomplete after all these years. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Rogue Trooper Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 (edited) I believe it will be updated to Huey 2.0. I have faith that belsimtek will bring us to the true end. Faith is what I have. The Mi-8 is just gaining strength constantly and it is only the superb Gazelle that has delayed it becoming a truly top notch, top drawer chopper sim right here right now.... Belsimtek breaths a sigh of relief that the chopper sim fandom is distracted.... but we will be back. Sort out Mi-8 perfection & F5 problems, then Hind and Huey... yep that sounds about right to me. I have faith! Edited August 30, 2016 by Rogue Trooper HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. msalama Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 F5 problems What are those? The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
BSS_Sniper Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 What would change? I mean in how you would fly the Huey? As it is now, if you load gunners and rockets you have to go over EGT limitations to fly and especially hover the Huey. Those EGT limitations and the associated engine damage isn't modeled so you can fly the Huey however you want without any consequence. If/when the limitations are added you wouldn't be able to load anything on the Huey and fly without burning up the engine. Two things need to be fixed: One- The EGT limitations being exceeded should damage the engine. Two- The EGT is too high given the amount of engine power output and needs to be addressed. The way it is now, as far as the engine power is concerned, you can fly with the collective as high as you want without damaging anything. It's very unrealistic. I see people loading up all 4 gatlings. I know for a fact that they have to fly WELL over EGT limits to not only get off the ground and hover, but in normal flight. It's just too "gamey" the way it's currently modeled. I9 9900k @ 5ghz water cooled, 32gb ram, GTX 2080ti, 1tb M.2, 2tb hdd, 1000 watt psu TrackIR 5, TM Warthog Stick and Throttle, CH Pedals
