vparez Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) Well, the bug would go like this: 'Mirage 2000 exceeds documented maximum speed at 0g acceleration' The problem with reporting this as a bug is that the 'top speed' may actually be reported with 0.03g acceleration remaining for example - I've seen such graphs elsewhere. I don't have a handy chart showing the Mirage's maximum speed at SL unfortunately. I just know that other fighters are capable of reaching those speeds when clean, so it isn't a strange thing or anything. Thats not a bug, thats a bug report. I am not making a bug report, i am simply discussing stuff. I dont understand what you said about G. Could you clarify please? Surely you mean 1g... No? Edited October 7, 2016 by vparez
Frostie Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 I hope Razbam are looking into the Mirage stratosphere performance as well, last time checked a fully fuelled and armed Mirage out accelerates and out climbs a half fuelled F-15 with no payload. Not to mention the altitudes you can reach. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. Lord Flashheart 51st PVO "Bisons" - 100 KIAP Regiment Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org

cauldron Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) ...why... are we using wikipedia? When razbam released the charts they intend to use for the aircraft already? Edited October 16, 2016 by cauldron
zaelu Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 You shouldn't get to warm up about this. There are reports about the idle power not being constant or increasing a lot in some unknown circumstances, also the plane goes supercruising very often. SO... maybe there are still more tunings to be made and this discussion on numbers and how one knows every number on it and it like this or like that is useless at this point. gospadin Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I've been testing for a while but want to check it out thoroughly before throwing it your way :) Slow and steady wins the race. Pocket Sized Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 also the plane goes supercruising very often An F-15 will 'supercruise' while carrying two bags. It's not a bug. DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
zaelu Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 An F-15 will 'supercruise' while carrying two bags. It's not a bug. So Mirage is modeled after F15? Where did CptSmiley said it's not a bug because F15 does supercruise "with 2 bags"? or you mean "it might be realistic after some stories?" GGTharos Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 An F-15 will 'supercruise' while carrying two bags. It's not a bug. Not for the F-15 it isn't. The Mirage's engine doesn't provide as much TWR though. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Pocket Sized Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Not for the F-15 it isn't. The Mirage's engine doesn't provide as much TWR though. I thought the consensus was it's not rare for a modern fighter to go a bit over Mach 1 in full MIL, so I provided an example. If new info was reveled that showed the mirage can't then I stand corrected. DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
GGTharos Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Sure, it was posted back here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2927830&postcount=58 Again, I don't know if this chart means 0 acceleration ... it could be at say +0.03g acceleration. Rlaxoxo Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 No Transwarp RTB anymore. Sadly no as soon as you reach 750 knots you just simply stop accelerating and if you're in the dive you can't go above that speed and if you do you start slowing down to reach that speed. Kinda bummed out : / [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit

microvax Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 You have to get with high alt with speed and keep that or you will never get over the induced drag of high alpha with enginepoweronly. At least was like that before and makes sense to me ! :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *unexpected flight behaviour* Oh shiii*** ! What ? Why ? What is happening ?
ZHeN Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 no, before the update to 1.5.5 I could gain speed without AB in horizontal flight in my point 1. up to 0.98M ... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lemoen Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Oooh, there's something you should keep in mind. The speed of sound (and you mach number) changes with altitude (temperature), also the drag and engine performance changes. Keep that in mind.

Keep that in mind. of course I'm keeping this in mind but Airbus A320 somehow manages to gain 0.84M without any afterburners @ 40k feet, but a fully loaded Mirage 2000C can not ? wuuut ? Thanks guys I'll check it out thanks bro ! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
