Havremonster Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Ok, so I firered one million bullets into the ass of the enemy but nothing happened. I have flyed the IL2 game a lot and it feels houndred times more realistic. Sorry but I'm dissepointed with this plane.
gavagai Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 If you're new to DCS then you probably don't know that the AI has a very simplified damage model. You have to fly online to get an accurate sense of the aircraft's firepower. P-51D | Fw 190D-9 | Bf 109K-4 | Spitfire Mk IX | P-47D | WW2 assets pack | F-86 | Mig-15 | Mig-21 | Mirage 2000C | A-10C II | F-5E | F-16 | F/A-18 | Ka-50 | Combined Arms | FC3 | Nevada | Normandy | Straight of Hormuz | Syria
razo+r Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 It's not the plane, it's the AI, but if you use your Hispanos correctly, you can even reck the AI pretty quick and easy, because most of the time, you either snipe the pilot, rip off his wing or his tail
Ala13_ManOWar Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 I have flyed the IL2 game a lot and it feels houndred times more realistic. No it doesn't . May be you fired, but not filled the enemy in bullets :smilewink:. It may be a bit harder to kill IA (though not so) than humans, but probably you aren't used to DCS ballistics and miss the target. Whenever you hit the enemy, even IAs, there are consequences even when you don't notice them. S! "I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. Haukka81 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 No it doesn't . ** Whenever you hit the enemy, even IAs, there are consequences even when you don't notice them. S! No there is not, dcs damage model is not so good ;) :music_whistling: Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
razo+r Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 It's not good indeed I can ram a Spit, BF or FW with my wings, and most of the time i have no damage, but the other AI plane is either loosing it's wing or tail getting hit by a ground unit, smal calliber, hit sound appears but no visual damage Flying directly to that ground unit, getting hit in the engine, no visual damage or engine loss Flying into a Spit, only loosing my rudder, but still flyable most time when cashing on ground, at landing i'll just flip over with a broken propeller and other stuff, not explode or so, and gear is for me still normal down position and some more things that can happen...
Krupi Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Chaps don't get so hung up on this, be patient.. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2846539&postcount=21 Windows 10 Pro | ASUS RANGER VIII | i5 6600K @ 4.6GHz| MSI RTX 2060 SUPER | 32GB RAM | Corsair H100i | Corsair Carbide 540 | HP Reverb G2 | MFG crosswind Pedals | Custom Spitfire Cockpit Project IX Cockpit
Ala13_ManOWar Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 No there is not, dcs damage model is not so goodNot visually good, but damage is there :smilewink:. Anyway, as Krupi says, let's wait for the new damage model, whether visual gore as invisible and systems/FM related. S! Havremonster Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 Ok, so I finally managed to shoot down a enemy. Anyway, I was proud until I discovered after hitting the f2 key, that I was flying around with a half airplane. Strange how good the rudder respond even if it is long gone... I ejected and played another mission in more present time with my KA-50. And guess what...A missile teared my helicopter in two, but i did not prevent me for continue flying like nothing had happened. I still looking forward to fly transport with my Mi-8...if they ever fix the embarking. Happy Christmas :)
