grunf Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 This Sweden one is hell for me :) Why? All you have to know is that Till = On, F<something> = OFF. Print out the warnings, and that's all the Swedish you need to know to be able to fly the plane. :D

grunf Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 F = Från, which means off. Thanks! How is it pronounced? Like English "from", except for the "m" ofc?

Skulleader Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Before to use the Viggen I wanted English version but since few days to read the manual and fly with Viggen I prefer Sweden language. Of course I don't speak Swedish, for all my Russian modules I prefere English language but for the Viggen no problem... Of course I don't speak Swedish, for all my Russian modules I prefere English language but for the Viggen no problem... +1. I had a similar experience. First reaction when I've entered the cockpit was - wow it's beautiful and then a panic mode just a seconds afterwards - hell I'm never going to get my head around it without English labels, it might as well be marked with Egyptian pictograms. After going through the manual few times and spending some time flying Viggen it's actually not that bad and easy to get around without English version of the cockpit. I’ll probably keep the Swedish one  F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all
Gunnergolly Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 (edited) No problems with improving my Swedish language skills with the Viggen either... Although strangely enough being a native English speaker i much prefer flying my M2000C in French :) !!. tranquillity Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 But to be honest it does not really matter, you have to memorize what a switch does, how it looks and where it is anyways.. Not much of a difference if the label next to it says "on" or "till" if you have to read all the labels until you find what you need you are screwed anyways. So you might aswell be screwed in swedish;) Gesendet von meinem SM-G935F mit Tapatalk
