Vitormouraa Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Today I found this amazing video, a Cockatoo acting like a dog I'm amazed by how this bird thinks he's a dog... Love it! I know these little guys are very smart, but really, is this a typical behaviour? https://www.facebook.com/humorengracadooficial/videos/1438239126255953/?__mref=message_bubble SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com

Buzzles Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Nothing too unusual. They're part of the parrot family, and most parrots are generally pretty intelligent* and decent mimics too. *Generally because my mother's current cockatiel is the most stupid bird we've ever had in the family by far. cthulhu68 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I used to have a macaw that learned about 40 different words, phrases, and sound effects. It would scream along with me as I whistled Bridge on the River Kwai and would make a slurping sound any time I was about to drink something. Also learned to mimic my frequent belching quite well.
