cichlidfan Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 I ordered the Warthog adapter for my VKB Gladiator and it arrived today. This is what I found when I opened the DHL pouch. I know they only made this available under the pressure of complaints but they, or any company, should still be embarrassed for sending out a package that looks like it was packed by a toddler. I haven't even opened it yet. Under any other circumstances I would return this unopened and asked for a refund. grunf Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 That really sucks. Looking at the picture, it seems that the packaging was damaged during transport, and then taped back together, to some extent. Whatever happened, hope the adapter is ok...

cichlidfan Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 The package shown was inside a DHL pouch so there is no way of knowing how it looked when it left Hong Kong. The box inside was fine. The parts look fine though there is no documentation so I guess I will have to hunt up another VKB video in lieu of proper documentation. Would a little piece of paper, the size of a fortune cookie fortune, with a link to documentation, been that hard to have produced in China?? bjsracer Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) Not much to the adapter, I'm sure it will be OK :joystick::thumbup:.... Let's hope Gunfighter is not packaged as such though  EDIT: Bloody customs. Edited March 5, 2017 by bjsracer
shagrat Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 My personal experience is, that the more amateurish the packaging the more hi-quality and hand crafted and durable the product. I rather pay for a premium small series steel product, than a perfectly marketed piece of plastic in an aluminum casing with an apple patented box design and locking mechanism. It may be not so nice for a YouTube unwrapping video, but if the package keeps it safe during logistics messing with it, I couldn't care less about the wrapping. On that manual/leaflet, though, totally different story! At least a leaflet with a sketch how to set it up would be highly appreciated, in my opinion. Correlation is not causation. Also, I've had very professionally packaged (custom sized printed high quality box with custom cut foam inserts) things from VKB shipped to me in USA, including an adapter like this one. Normally they do much better than this, irrespective of the fact they make nice stuff.

Would a little piece of paper, the size of a fortune cookie fortune, with a link to documentation, been that hard to have produced in China?? You're not buying an iPhone here. It's a niche market and I imagine they're doing their best to make things work as a small business. A little less sarcasm might help your cause. http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2178
lunaticfringe Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 A little less sarcasm might help your cause. Kind of like the little piece of aforementioned paper would help theirs. The condition of that parcel isn't a good look for any business, small or otherwise. Justified anger at the lack of concern regarding his purchase would be placated in a small fashion if the onus wasn't on him to go find information that should be there on the spot.
rrohde Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Yeah, looks like customs had a little fun with that packaging.
