What the title says.

When is he going to get fixed?

Oh and so is the pilot, why do they need to weave across the sky after every turn, make a turn to the next waypoint, and fly in a straight line......

I was playing multiplayer earlier, and after my friend refueled, no matter what we did the boom operator would not refuel me.

No problem in single player.

Then he may disconnected vefore tanker said transfer complete and didn't say abort rejoin, so tanker thought he would still refuel

Can you check that?

I asked to refuel he gave me clearance to join, but just refused to hook up, so after that I aborted, and then my friend tried to refuel again, and it refused to refuel him.

We did it several times, and that first refuel seemed to have screwed something up.

When you said ready for contact, were you close enough?

I think I've found another bug, in single player I just did some air to air refueling, and I had a disconnect, and after that the boom operator refused to try to reconnect or move the boom at all, I had to abort, then go through the radio menus again to get him to respond.

I'll post the track.

That reminds me of a situation that I've had, I've flown with my AI wingman in SP, first I refuelled then I told my wingman to refuel. it worked for me but my wingman was staying behind the tanker until he ran out of fuel...

might be connected with your example

It is still "bugged", as in "not like in real life". You do the formation flying while the incompetent boom operator tries to kill you.

Usually now a bunch of guys will tell you that you just need to practice and it is "supposed to be hard", while ignoring all the input and facts from Sierra99 and Eddie (who are subject matter experts).

The whole thread posted earlier, where Sierra99 (was a boom operator in real life) explains what the boom operator has to do and what he doesn't in DCS, is an interesting read...

EDIT this thread, especially posts #20 and #71

The weaving you describe is probably because the AI is trying to get exactly back on the track line between it's last waypoint and it's next waypoint. It's limited turn capability causes it to overshooting and keep reversing it's direction of roll.

That's what I was thinking, the sensible thing to do then, is make a turn to the waypoint, and just ignore that he's off the line, and then at the next waypoint, do the opposite turn, so as to avoid gradually rotating the line about its middle over time.
