Guest Hell Sqn Protos Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Oh pluueesse...... Fanbois...... coming from a fanboi of vaporware (Fighterops). I've seen the sh1t you have posted over in area 51 and you the last person that should call ANYONE a fanboi. Go back to your renders and placeholder screenies while we look at pics of something that will be real soon. Also, trying to get your squad advanced copies of Fighterops (6 weeks before release :megalol: buhahahaha). Comedy Gold. Exactly, that was all Evolved Games. I LOVE your pain. Since you paid to be a member of Area 51 - what does that make you??? As for getting the demo before others, what bothers you about that?? Possibly that we might get it? looooooooooooooooooooooool I just woke up and read your diatribe and haven't stopped laughing yet. See you in one of the super busy servers in the giant 50 man online community. looooooooooooooooooooooool - You know the one that is a direct result of the fantastic quality releases :megalol:
GGTharos Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Hey Protos, where's your huge multiplayer server? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Sealpup Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Just to say it, I will wait for this thing to come out. Wouldnt be the first time I was sitting with baited breath for the next game/sim to come out. My only worry is if it's released at the same time as Spore. Not a chance! I love cats(I have 3 of them) and I could never hurt a kitten - forum members on the other hand..... . Cheers, - JJ. I have yet to actually own my own cat, though everyone else in my family has. Although, I did work as a volunteer at a big-cat saanctuary. Cougars are fun :D

ericinexile Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 BTW, the new AIM-120C works ... better. What's this?! A leak from beta testing? :joystick: Smokin' Hole My DCS wish list: Su25, Su30, Mi24, AH1, F/A-18C, Afghanistan ...and frankly, the flight sim world should stop at 1995.
Guest denneym1 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 The reality is that you're out of touch with reality and you liek to pretend that you know how the software business works ;) Yeah, harsh - sorry. What I do know is, I have been playing sims since the old C-64 days, 20+ years ago. And I have seen this kind of thing many times over the years, the big plans, the promotion, then the delays, missed release dates, more missed release dates, the song and dance, the cheerleading from the company shills, end eventually....silence, then an announcement the sim has been cancelled or the company has gone tits up or been acquired by another company which is taking it in "a different direction" etc. Hopefully I am wrong, but this sure seems like familar territory.
EvilBivol-1 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 No, you're absolutely right. Sadly, that has been the pattern over the last decade. Outside of ED, I don't think there's a single combat flight sim developer of the 90s still around today. And yet some people still feel they've been somehow underserved for their 30 bucks. Go figure... - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

Hey! I had the competing Atari 1200! Flanker/Lomac has been the exception to the above norm since my first experience with the series in '95. ED will sort this out this year or next...it doesn't really matter so long as the sim continues to improve and we continue to buy it. It's a hell of a lot of work for such a small return on investment. The guys at ED could probably easily clean off their desks and work for Blizzard for more money and less headache. I'm just grateful that they have stuck with the franchise, and it's small core of whiney fans, for as long as they have. sp0nge Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Lol... Short question Do you remember .. A-10 Cuba? hahahahaha Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Lixma 06 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Lol... Short question Do you remember .. A-10 Cuba? hahahahaha The game as a whole sucked, true....but the A10 in that was a dream to fly. And the noise of the fans was wonderful. And you could fly through caves!! We'll never see the like again.....
Guest denneym1 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I have fond memories of a lot of old sims, how many people remember a company called Microprose? I do wonder what happened to the sim genre....for a long time after PC's became widely available, all kinds of simulation games were popular. Now they are a niche market. I know gaming consoles probably have something to do with this, but I don't think that can be the only reason? MD
SuperKungFu Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 because most people want to play some mindless shoot-them-up type of games instead of taking time to learn a sim like Lock On or Falcon 4.0...etc. But this just shows we're the elite. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
uhoh7 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I had no interest in the falcon till I came across F4, back when you got THE BOOK. I didn't know what a flanker was till I read about and bought Flanker 2.0 I never heard of a il2, or dreamed of a Yak 3 till I got the demo months before release. That P-39 in the demo taught you alot about spins-- thank god I'd played EAW. The SU25T? I'd never heard of it. Now I can say I've never felt more like I was really flying than in that AC. If you watch the movies are are not excited about flying the KA-50........something is wrong. I hope someday a dev will do justice to WW1---I want to see the FM that really models the spinning cylinders of the Sopwith. 1 E8600 Asus P5E Radeon 4870x2 Corsair 4gb Velociraptor 300gb Neopower 650 NZXT Tempest Vista64 Samsung 30" 2560x1600

Solidburn Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Microprose was great in the day. F-19, etc. I didn't get Formally introduced to the Falcon line til Falcon 3 but it was enough to make a lasting impression. By comparison F4 is incredible, but I think if we could have the avioncs of F4 and the attention to detail of Lock On. Oy VEY what a Sim that'd be huh?
