THis is not a F/A-18C

It is. Just a continuously modified C-variant

I'm not too familiar with all the block and OFC variations, maybe someone who knows them could create a list, of obvious things inside this cockpit.. :smilewink:

it's impossible to have UFCD on F/A-18C.

UFCD appears starting from LOT21, regarding official flight manual of hornet - it's Super Hornet (F/A-18E).

Also, chech where are speedbrake surfaces... There is one good moment on that video, where you could find it.

I did not watch video, but that's the C, Swiss and Finland upgraded their F/A-18Cs with Super Hornet avionics, such as the digital UFC, digital IFEI, multi function color displays and others. So what you said isn't quite correct.

ok :)

Nice prove. Didn't watch the video...but it's C :)

I did, I have seen that video before actually. I even talked to the pilot who flies this F/A-18, his name is Vincent. They have a facebook page called "Swiss Hornet display team". It is the C model.

ok.

Maybe it could be a C with updated avionics...

It's another country, they probably can install whatever they want.

I could be wrong

@5:18 of the Video you can clearly see the Legacy LERX, the Charlie Hornet LEX Fence, and Straight Edge Leading Edge Flaps.

Switzerland and Finland F/A-18C's essentially have the Block I Super Hornet Cockpit/Avionics.

As does the USMC F/A-18C+

I was there on the ground the very day this video was shot and took pictures and videos myself...

Believe me it is a Swiss Air Force C-Hornet with all sorts of upgrades one of them being the Super Hornet UFC

Indeed. Finnish Air Force F-18C for instance is having the same UFC as in Super Hornets. There's not too many cockpit photos from those, but you can catch a glimpse in this video around 6:35

This is nuts...

Look how beautiful the F/A-18 external lighting is. I hope ED works on the external lighting in order to look like this.

(piccie%20snip%20-%20be%20sure%20not%20to%20quote%20images%20in%20the%20same%20thread,%20needless%20waste%20of%20loading%20(Stryker)%20%20%3Asmilewink%3A

That is an over-exposed image, mind you. That's not how it looks in real life. But from what I've gleaned, the new engine coming this fall (?) has improved lighting.

Team Red wish MiG-23/27, Su-17/22, Su-24, Su-30 C, Yak-130, Tu-16, Tu-95, Tu-22M

Team Blue want AH-1W, AH-64, Alphajet, A-4, Jaguar, Tornado, F-16, A-6, A-7, F-111, F-15E, B-52, B-1B

The F/A-18C, in addition to the Super Hornet, has been one of the stars of Inherent Resolve. It's good to see the Hornet (and Harrier II) continuing to kick ass and take names after all these years.
