Esac_mirmidon
If the code for CCRP bombing in the Mirage is not accurate enough i´m sure they will improve it but even with a perfect CCRP mode represented for the Mirage in DCS, everybody must assume that releasing bombs over a target in this mode INSIDE a 20 meters circle from the target is a good job, is accurate and the pilot is doing his job OK. If you miss for more than 20 meters is your fault, if you are inside that distance you are doing things correct. This is why pilots must use bombs in large quantities in this bombing profile to be sure that some would hit-damage the target. ( again with a proper blast effect model ) CCRP bombing is inaccurate by nature. Dont expect direct hits in a good ratio. " You must think in russian.." Joni
Esac, for the love of god, I dont expect that. Im just saying. I just got home and tested what Lemoen said, and he is right. doing CCRP on a dive makes you hit a tank directly while doing the pull up or level delivery always overshoots. Bug, period. Im not saying anything of the things you are describing. I am sorry if I cant make my point clear. Esac_mirmidon
I'm sure they will fix the level bombing overshoot on incoming updates. As i said before. Then we will test the CEP in that profile. witwas
Lets hope the fix the bug, and btw it is a very good module if you ask me. I can imagine that speed affects accuracy, what should the ideal airspeed be? Edited August 2, 2017 by witwas
Aeger
Overshooting with CCRP has been discussed here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183010 Appears to be an issue that has already been reported, still hoping for official acknowledgement. Joni
Here is a track of this clear bug with CCRP. Look how they hit almost perfectly when I dont touch the plane and dive, and watch the last bomb with pull up (as it should be in the mirage) how it overshoots. I did this mission 5 times with the same 5 results. The computer should calculate the release point no matter if it steady dive, pull up, level flight or anything. Thats how it is, and thats how Razbam wanted it, and thats how it worked up until 1.5.6 onwards. Please Razbam fix this, thanks so much for this module.m2000 CCRP BUG.trk Intel Core i5-8600k + Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO | Gigabyte GTX 1070 Aorus 8G | 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance LPX Black 3200MHz | Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 3 | WD Black SN750 NVMe 500GB | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB | WD Green 240GB | WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA 3 | WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 3 | EVGA 650 GQ 80+ Gold | Samsung CF391 Curved 32" | Corsair 400C | Steelseries Arctis 5 --- Razer Kraken X Lite | Logitech G305 | Redragon Dyaus 2 K509 | Xbox 360 | Saitek X-52 Pro | Thrustmaster TWCS | TrackIR

pimp
No one to say anything. Did anyone try this track? I just tried to view it, but DCS does not see the file. I can see my other tracks but not this one. I even renamed it but still cannot see the file. i9 9900k @5.1GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z390 E-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 970 Evo 1TB | LPX 64GB DDR4 3200MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | Reverb G1 | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals
Joni
Mmmmm that is odd! Maybe because its from 1.5.6, I rolled back due to the performance and bugs issues Intel Core i5-8600k + Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO | Gigabyte GTX 1070 Aorus 8G | 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance LPX Black 3200MHz | Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 3 | WD Black SN750 NVMe 500GB | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB | WD Green 240GB | WD Caviar Black 1TB SATA 3 | WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 3 | EVGA 650 GQ 80+ Gold | Samsung CF391 Curved 32" | Corsair 400C | Steelseries Arctis 5 --- Razer Kraken X Lite | Logitech G305 | Redragon Dyaus 2 K509 | Xbox 360 | Saitek X-52 Pro | Thrustmaster TWCS | TrackIR
Frederf
Track files made in OA won't be visible in Release and vice versa. I've tried CCRP in Mirage (TAS if it works but RS is set as backup and terrain was elevation 0 and flat). In any case there was no visible parallax in the designated point with a shift in LOS. The true ballistics and the anticipated ballistics have some divergence which appears much larger at level release condition than in dive. It might be because the solution diverges from reality for that condition by some fault of math or simply because a diving release tends to mask the effect. CCRP accuracy is not exactly confidence inspiring as is but maybe that's how the airplane really is (though probably not). By the 70s getting CCRP math that was more accurate than the other systematic variances beyond the algorithm's control wasn't hard. Does anyone notice if the stick release is doing DMPI or simply stretching out the 2nd, 3rd, etc. impacts beyond the designated one? If it's the latter it probably shouldn't be. dolfo
Just curious... when one says "pull up" - do you mean recovering from the dive or climbing as in lofting the bombs?
Joni
From the dive. It is the way in the Mirage, funny its one of the ways that dont work.
