MFG Crosswind Combat version

Yeah Milan has stated in the past that is why he designed the front part of the base to be so narrow, as to accommodate the addition of combat pedals at some point in the future.

Hopefully that is still the plan, who knows when though...

For sure. Looks like he missed that “taking orders by October or November” timeline he gave me last year.

Happy I ended up going with the Slaw’s, would’ve been tough to continue holding out/waiting this long with no clear end in sight.

In any case, I am sure once they are here they will be well worth the wait. Milan does great work.

That is what I thoght 6 months ago, but after ordering a different set of pedals, it is starting to happen the same. So I was re-considering MFG.

haha I was just making light of what I assume is a frustrating situation for many owners.

I've traded many emails with Milan, he is an outstanding guy and is dedicated to making his customers happy. I am sure he will eventually get these rolled out, he seems to have been working on it for quite a while so hopefully it's close. My guess is he hit a couple challenges or pivots along the way.

I don't see the combat add on pedals coming anytime soon and it been a long wait already. But it would be nice to get an offical update from him, or at least post some info on his web site.

I dont have time (knowledge I would learn probably) to make combat footrests. But these are loking good enough. Is anybody willing to make one I would buy it? All I need is to be able to rest my heels on the floor.

I plan to make a small batch out of airgraft grade aluminium. But I need your guys help, I dont have the Crosswinds and I need accurate dimensions. If anybody could help me with the accurate dimensions of the pedal lever, angle, screw holes, threads etc, I could be done in no time.

If you plan to make a small batch, you really need to own the Crosswind. Trusting someone to provide you accurate measurements and then manufacturing the pedals solely based on those measurements, is going to have a high likelihood of the pedals not being able to fit properly.

Well, I would obviously make a prototype and send it to him. I am not new to engineering stuff. :P However, with accurate measurements a simple one piece pedal has a high likelyood of being perfect the first time.

That being said I already organized someone whos shipping his pedals to me, so dont worry.

Sounds outstanding, count me in for a set when you start producing and selling these.

Seems a easy thing to do even without a Crosswind, the only critical measure is diameter and length of tube that hold magnet:

OK, thats another way to do it. I didnt know that you could take out the shaft that easily. I actually planned to mount it to the small plate the pedals are attached to, just with screws going in from the back and tap the threads into the aluminium pedals. I guess it all depends on the height of the foot rests and what is the most comfortable in the end. :)

I woder why Milan abandoned the combat footrests production. So whoever make the combat footrests would profit alot. BTW, these (from the pic) look great and pedals look "more right".

Hmm the thread title makes it sounds like this is MFG's new Crosswind Combat Pedal offering.

Just sayin...

Next week! :) I bought a 3d printer in November but it was defective at first, then came holiday season and now it's January already.

But I did talk to a foundry already, let's hope this works out.
