Vekkinho Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Guys, just to show how big this bird really is here's some private photos: That's me checking TACAN areals and please note faded AEROFLOT sign. Tail rotor: Rumour has it this Hook participated in Chernobil incident and now it's pretty radiated, dismantled and abandoned. It used to transport wounded from. Red cross is still visible on starboard side of fuselage and check dead and dying grass around it (probably radiated), here: and the last pic shows interior, as big as a ferry boat: He,he... 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Force_Feedback Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 That is nothing, I've been inside a mi-26T, now that thing is really BIG, the Cow is a bit smaller, but also a bitch to fly, they couldn't even take off vertically with a full fuel load. :\ BTW, if the radiation levels are as high as you think, the man on the picture would already have severe burns, so the argument saying grass is affected by radiation is utterly cr*ppy. Plants and animals can tolerate higher dosages than humans. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Vekkinho Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 That's me in those pics and my hair fell off... Just kidding, actually that chopper is outbacked from the airbase for about 2 km and was showered every single day to reduce radiation, but it was 20 years ago... EDIT: I took those pics on 31st December, '06. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 I have found "Art of the kill" videos from falcon 3 on the net...but Im having trouble retrieving them...will report later if I can get them for you. Will open a new thread for this. it needs you special attention to help me share it...its huge file. .
Stealth_HR Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 BTW, if the radiation levels are as high as you think, the man on the picture would already have severe burns, so the argument saying grass is affected by radiation is utterly cr*ppy. Plants and animals can tolerate higher dosages than humans. Well, last time I've seen him, his hair did look a bit more gray. :music_whistling: And I'd say grass would get affected by radiation, especially since it's a continuous source. Doesn't have to kill it so much as change its genetics. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Real men fly ground attack :pilotfly: where EVERYTHING wants a piece of you :D
