Ive been learning 2 ways to use the designated target info I get from JTAC.

1. On the TAD I hook the Red Triangle, make it SPI then slave all to SPI.

OR

2. Go to the CDU and spend quite a bit more time entering the coordinates then creating another waypoint. Then making that SPI and slaving all to SPI.

Is one way more accurate then the other?

That is not entirely correct. The 'red triangle method' works in sim mode just the same, the only catch is that it requires a Datalink connection between the JTAC and your A-10C.

Thanks! I will stick with 'red triangle method' when its feasible (so far all missions have had a datalink) and learn the other approach for when there is no datalink. (I ONLY fly in sim mode).

That triangle is a tasking that has been sent through the datalink. You can send tasking the same way to your wingman.

Edit: if you have the oppurtunity, bind your keyboard to CDU buttons. That makes working on the cdu far more easier

Yup, it's an awesome feature!

Just be aware that elevation data doesn't get properly transmitted when sending targets via SADL. Depending on terrain elevation, it might seem to be completely off to the receiving aircraft even though the coords are actually spot-on.

Ye its not always as accurate as giving the coordinates and elevation through radio or message. Had some trouble with it couple of times in our missions:d

And i remember 2 times that the coordinates wasnt the same either. Maybe it was something that i did wrong but i dont think so.
