All right, we've got a Harrier, with UK versions evidently in the pipeline. There are A-4s in progress. Now we need a Super Etendard and a Falklands map.

then all we need then is Hermes [which I my or may not be making] and Invincible which I think is being made and their escorts.....

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

A more modern Falklands would be more interesting. Air units for both UK and AR have hardly changed. AR still flies Etendards and A-4R. A-4R is a cool version of A-4, that I would love to have as a module. Basically LM took avionics from F-16C Block 50 (minus APG) and stuffed them into A-4. So cockpit has F-16 HOTAS and color displays. Export version of ALQ-164 . UK , of course, has retired its Harrier force. But that was a cost cutting measure. The airframes are still good, and could be reactivated if called upon.

Falklands themselves are small. The whole theater is smaller then Crimea from old school pre- DCS LockON. A modern SAM system covers entirety of islands. Now if neo-Falklands somehow includes mainlands Argentina with Tierra Del Fuego, thats much more interesting.

I agree;the Falklands would be a great scenario.

As a half-a$$'d solution for now, I'm just using Viggen to simulate the Super Etendard / exocets, and C-101's as A4's as a place-holders. Would certainly buy a Skyhawk & Super Etendard modules if they were made, especially with carrier op's.

Would love a Falklands map. Is small enough to fit the entire Maritime Exclusion Zone in a DCS sized map.

Have AV-8Bs facing off against Mirage 2000s in a Strangereal campaign.

Would like to see:

Panavia Tornado

Panther AS565

English Electric Lightning.

Sea Harrier FRS.1 and the A/V-8B have quite performance disparity.

So clearly, we need an FRS.1!

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

The UK's Harriers are long gone, they're not in storage, they were sold to the USMC to be used as spare parts for their fleet.

The RAF does have a detachment of Typhoons there, and prior to that they had Tornado F3's since the Falkland war, if we could get a reliable company to do a Typhoon a modern Falklands could be done.

A Falklands map was actually on the roadmap of VEAO. That didn't work out though, as everybody knows :(

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
