Hey guys I have I7-4770-350 ghz, and a 980ti. I'm very happy with the performance I get in Vegas 2.22 although I steer clear of multiplayer and design my own missions for VR.

Normandy is on sale and I would love to get it but I am imagining the performance is not great in VR at the moment. Just wondering if its worth getting at this point?

Well the performance in Normandy certainly improved some in 2.2, and hopefully maybe it will a little again when 2.5 is released next month.

It is a beautiful map, and especially if you are a fan of WWII.

Perhaps someone with a similar rig to yours can comment on how they get on with Normandy currently in VR. I can run it on my rig ok, and whilst yes I fly on fairly low detail it is certainly very smooth for me in my Rift.

just get it while its on sale

This! Just get it, it will work fine I have similar spec PC with Rift I don't have everything turned up to max and flying Helis Normandy looks good and feels great to fly in. I'd even say if the asset pack is on sale get it too it will only get better.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.
