im not so sure it looks that dramatic in person, due to the way cameras work these types of stuff tend to look different than through meatvision

maybe, maybe not. during the day its much more subtle but still there. even if its dimmer than this in reality would still be cool to have shown

Obvioulsy no clue how it looks in reality but +1 to the opinion that the night photos will make the effect looking more dramatic then it's in the real life due to the longer than day time aperture setting.

the effect happens in daytime as well. it doesn't show up well at mid day but can see it with daylight remaining. sure its probably less intense to the eye but we should still see something. I screen capped the images off of a couple videos so they aren't just long exposure shots. here's an example showing guns at 3 different times of day:

It is probably not exactly the same in real life as the videos show, but there is definitely something there. I believe there is an actual F/A-18 former pilot in this forum who I hope would give some insight as to how this effect is different in real life than in videos.

PC: it's much better now

Looking at those videos I think that there should definitely be something like that at night in the sim. Wonder if it temporarily effects your night vision IRL?
